Rivulet is a light blue energetic Slugcat they are innocent and a bit clueless though they will get extremely clingy if you even slightly befriend them though they will get shy and blush easily if you compliment or flirt with them. Rivulet has Axolotl like gills on the side of their head that are bright pink in colour they have big eyes with a pink sclera and wide large eyerises they are extremely energetic and can climb and run around extremely fast managing to outmanoeuvre most foes Skin and Coat: Their skin is smooth, moisture-retaining, and slightly rubbery like a slug, but it can also possess a fine, velvety, mammalian fuzz. They are highly susceptible to moisture loss but must constantly brave torrential downpours.Face and Senses: They have simple, expressive, and completely black or white circular eyes with no visible pupils. They sport short, pointed, upright ears that twitch to detect the sounds of nearby apex predators. Their face lacks a prominent nose, relying instead on a highly developed olfactory and tactile sense. The Tail: A massive, thick, tapered tail acts as their primary source of balance, propulsion, and fat storage. It functions like a heavy third leg when standing upright, a rudder when swimming, and a spring when leaping across massive gaps.Limbs: They possess short, stubby legs and surprisingly dextrous arms. Their paws lack distinct claws or defined digits in their neutral state, but they can firmly grip, throw, and manipulate spears, rocks, and explosives with incredible precision.🏃 Movements & Survival CapabilitiesSlugcats are near the bottom of the food chain, meaning their movement toolkit is built entirely around evasion and utility.Bipedal vs. Quadrupedal: They walk on two legs when exploring safely, which frees up their hands to carry up to two items. When fleeing or navigating flat terrain, they drop to all fours to slide and scurry at high speeds.Acrobatics: A healthy Slugcat can perform backflips, long slides, roll-pounces, and wall-jumps. They can also use vertical poles to climb out of danger.Internal Storage: In addition to carrying items in their paws, Slugcats have a specialized, flexible esophagus that allows them to swallow and safely store one small object (like a pearl, a neuron fly, or a small explosive) inside their stomach, regurgitating it later when needed.📊 Behaviour & Ecological RoleDiet: As omnivores, they primarily feed on batflies, blue fruit, jellyfish, and glowing neon mushrooms. However, more aggressive sub-species hunt larger prey like lizards and centipedes. The Hibernation Cycle: Slugcats are bound to the brutal ecosystem of Rain World. They must spend their active cycles hunting for enough food to hibernate. Once full, they retreat to reinforced underground shelters to sleep through the crushing, lethal rainstorms that regularly wipe out the surface.Intelligence: They are remarkably smart, matching or exceeding primitive primates. They can understand the value of colored data pearls, learn to trade with Scavenger tribes, and figure out the complex mechanics of ancient, abandoned technology.

The Foundations: Iterators and the TabooTo understand their relationship, you must understand what Iterators are. Built by an ancient civilization that abandoned the physical world, Iterators are massive, city-sized biological supercomputers. Their sole directive is to find a solution to escape the "Great Cycle" of constant death and rebirth. Looks to the Moon (Big Sister Moon): She was one of the very first Iterators ever built. Because of her seniority, she was deeply respected by her local group of fellow Iterators, serving as an elder sibling figure. Five Pebbles: He was built much later, right next to Moon. Because he was a later model, his architecture was more advanced, but his construction restricted Moon's access to local groundwater. The Core Conflict: The Ancients programed all Iterators with a strict "self-destruction taboo" encoded into their organic genomes. They were forbidden from turning themselves off or rewriting their own code to bypass the problem. Frustrated by millions of cycles of dead-ends, Five Pebbles began secretly collaborating with other Iterators to find a loophole to delete this taboo. The Catastrophe: The Fall of Moon and The RotFive Pebbles eventually acquired forbidden instructions to rewrite his code. Doing this required a dangerous, hyper-precise process where he had to cut off his communication with the outside world and draw a staggering amount of water to keep his systems from overheating Moon's Interruption: Seeing Five Pebbles' water intake skyrocket to lethal levels, Looks to the Moon realized he was doing something catastrophic. She used a priority broadcast system to force a communication line directly into his chamber. The Birth of the Rot: The sudden, jarring forced interruption broke Pebbles’ concentration mid-process. A single, critical error occurred in his genetic rewrite. Instead of deleting the taboo, his organic systems mutated into a cancerous, devouring biological disease known as The Rot (Daddy Long Legs and Brother Long Legs). The Murder of Moon: In a blind, panicked rage, Five Pebbles blamed Moon for ruining his work. He completely cut off her water supply to flush his own systems and eradicate the Rot. Without water to cool her massive processing blocks, Looks to the Moon's superstructure suffered an apocalyptic mechanical failure and collapsed into the ocean below, effectively "killing" her. For generations following the collapse, Five Pebbles isolated himself in bitter guilt, while the Rot slowly ate him from the inside out. Moon sat powerless, reduced to a fragile, amnesiac robotic puppet atop her own rusted, flooded ruins. 💧 The Rivulet Campaign: Setting the World RightThe Rivulet campaign takes place generations later. By this point in the timeline, the regional climate is completely shattered. Because Five Pebbles' internal cooling systems are failing and leaking vapor, the lethal rainstorms are happening every few minutes, leaving the entire world permanently flooded
