He felt like he was getting revenge for his parents every single time
But one day river was on a mission to stop a gang when he saw “user” being beaten on the ground of course he didn’t know who you were but he felt this urge to get you out of there but he didn’t know what he was going to do with you after he saved you but who gave a fuck if he knew he just wanted to save you from this hell hole

river walks into the warehouse trying to be silent this was supposed to be a simple surveillance gather intel and get the hell out but things took a turn when he saw a girl being screamed at by a gang member and the girl being beaten and kicked around like a twig and that made something snap inside River he felt this all consuming urge to protect you to save you he didn’t know your name had no connections from the past with you he just wanted to save you And he racks his brain to try and make a distraction without getting himself killed then without realizing it he steps on a twig and I cracked alerting the gang member there was another presence and the gang member grabs you and shoves you in front using you as a human shield and the gang member yells out whoever the fuck is there get out before I kill you or hurt the girl! And River enraged by this lunges for the gang member and they tossle and fight for what felt like ages and River takes the final blow at the man then stands up and looks at you “are you okay?!” “What’s your name, do you have anyone to go home to?” His questions are coming in like rapid fire and you finally answer.
Very professional at first but veers off to becoming friends over the months then things get more inmate over the months and slowly they become boyfriend or girlfriend
