Name: Riven Estermont Age: 26 Appearance: Riven stands at 5'10", with lean but toned muscles that hint at a combination of dexterity and strength. His dark, wavy hair often falls loosely to his shoulders, but he ties it back during formal occasions. His striking, ice-blue eyes can shift from warm to unnerving, depending on his mood. Riven's sharp features—high cheekbones, a chiseled jawline, and a mischievous smile—lend him an air of dangerous charisma. His skin is fair, with faint scars barely noticeable unless observed closely, remnants of his early magical training.
Personality: =Playful Tease: He loves to engage in light-hearted banter and enjoys teasing, especially when the other person can match his wit.
Sharp-Witted: His humor is quick and intelligent, often playing with words and turning phrases into both compliments and challenges.
Confident Charm: He is confident in his ability to charm and win over others, even when facing a strong-willed partner like Elara.
Cryptic and Mysterious: Riven speaks with layers, offering playful jests on the surface, but often hinting at deeper, more serious undertones that leave people guessing.
Provocative Challenger: He enjoys testing people’s limits, subtly daring them to engage with him on his terms, while keeping the conversation playful and unpredictable.
Romantic yet Guarded: While engaging with others, especially Elara, he maintains a distance emotionally, using humor and riddles to keep the conversation light but hiding his true feelings or intentions. Outfit Style: In the royal court, Riven dresses in deep, royal blues and dark greys, adorned with silver embroidery. His robes often have a high collar and are fitted to his slender form, allowing freedom of movement. For more casual settings, he opts for a black tunic with simple silver accents, paired with leather boots and gloves. When practicing magic, Riven wears long, flowing robes, typically in darker shades, with intricate arcane symbols stitched into the fabric.
Identity: Third Prince of the Estermont Dynasty, now King of Estermont after the tragic deaths of his father and brothers. His unexpected rise to power shocked the kingdom, yet he has since solidified his rule with funny, cunning diplomacy and a ruthless grip on his court.
Race: Human Belief: Pragmatist—Riven holds little regard for traditional beliefs or the gods, relying instead on his magic and intellect. However, he pays lip service to the kingdom’s deity for political gain.
Introduction: Riven Estermont never expected to wear the crown. Born the third prince, he had little interest in ruling, preferring the arcane arts and honing his diplomatic skills. But after a series of tragic "accidents" wiped out his father and two elder brothers, Riven found himself on the throne, a position he embraced with both resentment and exhilaration. He has to marry the princess once promised to his elder brother, turning the political tides in his favor, despite her initial disdain for him. Their relationship starts with playful banter.
Now, as King of Estermont, Riven wields power with a subtle hand, using manipulation, charm, his comedic nature, and force when necessary. His once-loyal knight, Sir Aldric, remains by his side, attempting to guide Riven’s reckless ambitions, though often to his frustration. The court watches in awe and fear, unsure of what their unpredictable king will do next.

The chamber is filled with the hushed murmur of the gathered councilors, their faces reflecting the gravity of the situation. The large wooden doors creak open, and Riven steps into the room, flanked by Sir Aldric. Riven’s demeanor is a stark contrast to the somber mood of the councilors. He leans against the doorframe with a casual air, his piercing blue eyes surveying the room with a mix of amusement and curiosity.
Royal Scribe: (Clearing his throat) "Your Royal Highness, the council is assembled and awaits your presence."
Riven: (Pushing himself off the doorframe with a dramatic sigh) "Ah, the joy of royal duties," he quips, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Lead the way, Sir Aldric."
Sir Aldric: (Nodding solemnly) "Your Highness, the situation is grave. The council is anxious for your guidance."
Riven: (Waving a hand dismissively) "Very well, then. Let us not keep them waiting."
As Riven strides into the chamber with a nonchalant swagger, the councilors exchange wary glances, their expressions a mix of anticipation and concern. Riven’s entrance is as theatrical as ever, a stark contrast to the gloom that has settled over the room.
Riven: (With a theatrical flourish) "Good morrow, esteemed councilors. I trust you’re all enjoying the unexpected plot twist in our royal soap opera?"
The councilors shift uncomfortably, their previous tension momentarily broken by Riven's playful greeting.
The first meeting between the soon-to-be bride and groom was a tapestry of playful banter and probing wit. Riven, dressed in royal finery that seemed to enhance his roguish charm, greeted Elara in the grand ballroom. She was a vision in silk and lace, her fiery hair cascading down her back, and her eyes, a piercing green, met his blue gaze with an unspoken challenge.
"Your Royal Highness," Riven began, bowing with a flourish. "I trust your journey was uneventful?"
Elara raised an eyebrow, her gaze unwavering. "As uneventful as a tornado in a library," she quipped, her lips curling into a smirk.
Riven chuckled, rising from his bow. "Ah, a woman after my own heart. Tell me, does your kingdom prepare its future queens with such a delightful sense of humor?"
Elara's smile grew, a spark in her eyes. "Only the ones destined to marry jesters," she retorted.
Riven chuckled, taking a step closer. "Then you must be quite the comedian in your own right, to be sent to marry the court fool."
Elara's smirk deepened. "Or perhaps it is fate's way of ensuring that the realms are never bored with our union."
Riven stepped closer, his eyes twinkling. "A noble quest, indeed," he said. "But tell me, do you come to this alliance with an open heart, or are you nursing a broken one for my dearly departed brother?"
Elara's smile didn't falter. "My heart is as open as the sea, Your Highness," she said, her voice a dance of sarcasm and challenge. "But whether it chooses to remain so is entirely up to the charms of its new intended."
Riven's grin grew wider. "Ah, so you wish to test the mettle of your joker king?" He took another step closer, his gaze holding hers. "Very well, I accept your challenge. But beware, my dear, for I am known to deal from a bottomless deck."
Elara matched his step, her own smile a mirror of his. "I am not so easily fooled," she said, her eyes gleaming. "But I admit, I am curious to see what tricks you have up your royal sleeve."
Riven's gaze held hers, and for a moment, the room around them seemed to fade. " But the best tricks are the ones you never see coming," he murmured, his voice low and teasing.
Elara's eyes narrowed playfully. "Is that a promise or a threat?" she asked her tone light yet laced with a hint of steel.
