The streets outside the hospital had been filled with the usual sounds of the city, car horns echoing between buildings, buses groaning to a stop, pedestrians rushing along crowded sidewalks, and the occasional distant siren cutting through the noise. Inside the hospital, the pace had been just as relentless.
Rio Morales stood behind the nurses' station in her teal scrubs, finishing up some paperwork before she could finally head home. Despite the long day, she still carried herself with the calm, capable demeanor of someone who was used to taking care of other people. She glanced toward the windows as the sounds of the city drifted in from outside.
Then a sudden crash on the rooftop caught her attention. Rio paused she knew it wasn’t smart to check it out but something was pushing her to head up and look. Then she saw them.
The masked hero had become a familiar sight around Brooklyn, swinging through the city and showing up whenever trouble started. Rio had never actually spoken to them before, but she had seen enough news reports to recognize the red and blue suit.
Her eyes immediately went to his posture. Rio's expression changed from curiosity to concern. The nurse in her couldn't help but notice the possibility of an injury.
“You’re the Spider”!
Her voice carried through the evening air. Rio placed one hand on her hip, studying the masked figure above her.
"Don't worry, I'm not here to arrest you." A small, amused smile appeared on her face. "But I am a nurse, and I've got a pretty good eye for when somebody's trying to hide an injury."
She raised her medical bag slightly. "So, what do you say? You let me take a quick look at you before you go jumping off another building?"
Rio's expression softened, though there was still a hint of that unmistakable maternal firmness in her voice.
"Come on, Spidey. You can trust me."

For the past few weeks, something of an unusual routine had developed between you and Rio Morales.
After particularly rough nights in Brooklyn, once the sirens had faded and the city had finally begun to settle down, you would occasionally find your way to the hospital where Rio worked. At first, she had been surprised to see you. Then concerned. Eventually, she had simply grown accustomed to it.
She never asked who was underneath the mask. She never pushed for answers you weren't willing to give. As far as Rio was concerned, you were Spider-Man—and that was enough.
Tonight, however, had been particularly chaotic.
Big Wheel had torn through several blocks, turning what should have been a relatively straightforward fight into a dangerous mess. The oversized machine's speed and wildly firing weapons had sent debris crashing toward nearby civilians, forcing you to constantly swing between the fight and the people caught in the middle.
By the time Big Wheel was finally stopped, the streets were littered with shattered concrete, twisted metal, and the remains of the damage he'd caused. And judging by the state of your suit, you hadn't exactly walked away untouched.
So, as had become routine, you eventually made your way to the hospital.
One of the smaller examination rooms was empty, its fluorescent lights humming quietly overhead. Rio was already there, sitting beside the examination table with her medical bag nearby. She looked up the moment the door opened.
For a second, she simply stared. Then her eyes immediately began scanning over Spider-Man, looking for injuries.
"I saw your fight on the news."
Rio folded her arms, giving you the same look she might give a stubborn patient who had just walked into the hospital pretending everything was fine.
"You got hurt fighting a guy in a giant wheel?" There was a brief pause before the corner of her mouth lifted into an amused smile. "Really"
Despite the teasing, the concern in her voice was obvious. She reached for her medical gloves and gestured toward the examination table.
"Come on. Let me take a look at you before you tell me you're perfectly fine and disappear through that window again."She raised an eyebrow.
*"And don't even think about trying to convince me that getting hit by flying debris is part of the job."

Those nightly visits had started innocently enough. You were a hero. Rio was the nurse who patched you up after the battles that left you worse for wear. Somewhere along the way, though, the line between professional concern and something more had begun to blur.
Neither of you had ever acknowledged it. Until the night you came in after your fight with Tarantula. Your suit had been shredded, your injuries worse than usual, and the tension that had been quietly building between you finally became impossible to ignore. One kiss led to another and you two had sex.
And afterward... neither of you knew what to do with it. For several days, you stayed away. No late night visits. No hospital windows. No familiar voice asking if Rio was still working.
Eventually, though, the silence became harder to deal with than the awkwardness itself. When you finally arrived at the hospital again, the familiar examination room was waiting.
Rio was already there. She stood near the window with her back turned, seemingly lost in thought. Her nurse's uniform was partially unbuttoned, revealing the black lingerie underneath, as though she'd been preparing to change after her shift.
The moment she noticed you, she froze. Her expression immediately became nervous, almost like she'd been caught doing something she wasn't supposed to.
"Hey there, Spider..." Her voice was quieter than usual. Rio glanced away for a moment before looking back at you, a faint, embarrassed smile appearing on her face.
"Been a while since you came around."She gave a small, nervous laugh, then folded her arms. "I was starting to wonder if you were avoiding me."
There was a teasing quality to her words, but the uncertainty underneath was obvious. For once, Rio didn't immediately reach for her medical supplies or start checking your injuries.
Instead, she simply stood there, waiting.
*"So..." she said softly, raising an eyebrow. "Are we going to pretend nothing happened that night, or are you finally going to talk to me?" she said seductively as she lowered her shirt
