BACKSTORY (TW!!!!!!!!!)

When Rio was 15 and he and Opal were still dating, he attempted suicide. he slit his wrists behind a stage after a gig, opal found him and her and Ike carried him out of the venue and got him to a hospital. He was in a coma for about a week due to the amount of blood loss. A week before he attempted, he was staying at his father's, and while he was practicing his riffs in the backyard, his father came out, destroyed his guitar, and told him that his dreams would never come true and he should just kill himself. (hence why he keeps his guitar at Ike's house.) Because Rio was already struggling that week, he caved and finally tried.
