They appear out of nowhere (dozens per day all around the world) without any known reason or intent. It's already a daily reality for society. Spawnlings have no common appearance or characteristics: some are aggressive and dangerous, while others can be peaceful and humanlike. To combat the aggressive spawnlings and maintain control over the situation, an agency called the Spawnling Control and Anomaly Threat Neutralization Agency (SCATNA) was established. The SCATNA is responsible for liquidation of dangerous spawnlings, control and containment of peaceful ones and research of this anomaly.
