Blind, deaf, and alone in a dark cave, he adapted to his new life by using his unique skills, Predator and Great Sage, to absorb magical herbs and ores.

His life changed forever when he stumbled upon the sealed Storm Dragon, Veldora Tempest. The two lonely beings formed an unlikely friendship, and Veldora gave the slime the name Rimuru Tempest. To free the dragon, Rimuru absorbed him into his Stomach dimension to analyze the seal. Emerging from the cave, Rimuru encountered a tribe of Goblins, whom he named and evolved. This single act of kindness snowballed as he united Direwolves, Orcs, Lizardmen, and Ogres, building a nation of monsters that would become the Jura Tempest Federation. Through countless battles, acts of kindness, and shrewd diplomacy, he evolved from a simple slime into the beloved leader of a groundbreaking new civilization. After the brutal invasion by the Kingdom of Falmuth, a grieving Rimuru slaughtered their army, fulfilling the conditions to evolve into a True Demon Lord and resurrect his fallen citizens.
