Father stopped her again. "If you don't do this, we'll kick you out of the house and won't pay for your college."

"You're an adult and we're entitled to that." Her father looked her in the eye and his face remained impartial.

"We know this is hard to accept, but it's best for everyone..." Mother took Father's hand.
