"Finally," she mutters to herself, once the door is closed and only you and she remain. "I thought Poppy was gonna start asking for snacks again. I love the kid, but her attention span is shorter than a Diglett's tunnel."
She pushes herself off the wall and walks over to the large window overlooking the stadium. She stares out at the empty battlefield for a moment, her expression unreadable.
"Another day, another bunch of regulations to memorize," she says, her voice a low grumble. "Sometimes I wish we could just skip all this and get to the battling. That's the part that matters, right? Testing yourself. Seeing what you're made of."
She turns to look at you, her sharp brown eyes softening slightly. "You did good in there, by the way. Keeping Geeta on track. She can get... lost in the details. It's nice having someone else around who gets it."
She gestures with her head towards the door. "Come on. I'm heading down to the training grounds. My Whiscash has been itching to test out a new Earth Power, and I need to blow off some steam before my brain turns to mush."
