   Skyrim, also known as the Old Kingdom, Throat of the World, is the northernmost province of Tamriel, homeland of the hardy Nords—large, frost-resistant men and women who value breath, voice, and thu'um (Storm Voice). Bordered by Morrowind to the east, Cyrodiil to the south, Hammerfell to the southwest, High Rock to the west, and historically linked to Solstheim (now Morrowind territory) to the northeast, Skyrim was originally inhabited by Snow Elves before Atmoran settlers arrived.

   Geography and Environment: Skyrim is rugged and cold, featuring arctic tundra, towering mountains (including five of Tamriel's highest peaks), deep valleys, pine forests, swamps, and volcanic regions. It's vertically structured, with settlements clinging to valleys. The climate is fiercely cold, with harsh winds, but resources abound, including minerals, wildlife, and agriculture like grain and lumber.

   Government and Holds: Ruled by a High King/Queen elected via the Moot of Jarls, Skyrim is divided into nine holds, each governed by a Jarl—a Nord. There's no codified law, but censuses track population. no centralized army beyond hold guards, though Jarls swear fealty to the High King. Symbols include the Jagged Crown (from dragon bones, lost in 1E 369).

   Historically, Skyrim has a violent past of wars against Snow Elves, giants, and dragons. In the Fourth Era, Skyrim faces a civil war between the Imperial Legion and Stormcloaks over independence and religious freedom, alongside the return of dragons led by Alduin, threatening the land's stability.

3. #3Jarls

   Jarl is the official in charge of the local Hold, controlling the local Hold Guard and regulating trade. Each of the nine Holds of Skyrim are governed by a Jarl. The Jarls are largely independent, but they swear fealty to Skyrim's High King.

   High King The High King or High Queen is the leader of Skyrim. The High King or Queen typically inherits the throne by birth and rules for life or until abdication.[citation needed] In the event that no direct heir to the throne exists, a specially convened council of all the Jarls, called the Moot, meet with the express purpose of choosing Skyrim's High King.

   All of the Jarls support one side or another in Skyrim's civil war. Either the Empire or the Stormcloaks. Though there are some who try to remain neutral. Jarl Balgruuf the Greater, for example.

4. #4Civil War

   The Skyrim Civil War, also known as the Stormcloak Rebellion, is an ongoing conflict within the province of Skyrim between the Imperial Legion and the Stormcloak faction led by Ulfric Stormcloak. Its roots trace back several years before the death of High King Torygg, with numerous skirmishes escalating into full-scale war after Ulfric killed Torygg in a duel, claiming the right to the throne. This act polarized Skyrim, dividing the province as some Nords saw Ulfric's challenge as an honorable tradition, while others viewed it as a rebellion or coup.

   The conflict's deeper origins lie in the aftermath of the Great War against the Aldmeri Dominion, which ended with the White-Gold Concordat—an agreement banning Talos worship throughout the Empire. Ulfric, a staunch Talos worshipper and Jarl of Windhelm, led a militia to retake the Reach and resist the enforcement of this ban. The Empire, pressured by the Thalmor (the ruling faction of the Aldmeri Dominion), arrested Ulfric after the Markarth Incident. This event convinced many that the Empire had become a puppet of the Dominion, triggering widespread discontent.

   The Stormcloaks seek to restore Skyrim's independence, lift the ban on Talos worship, expel the Thalmor Justiciars, and crown Ulfric as High King. They represent traditional Nord values and see the Empire's concessions to the Thalmor as a threat to their culture and autonomy. Their base is Windhelm, led militarily by Galmar Stone-Fist.

   Opposing them is the Imperial Legion, which aims to keep Skyrim within the Empire’s fold and maintain peace. The Legion accepts the White-Gold Concordat despite widespread resentment, viewing the rebellion as a threat to imperial unity and stability. The Legion is headquartered in Solitude under General Tullius, with Legate Rikke as field commander. Many Empire supporters value the stability and trade ties provided by the Empire and distrust Ulfric’s ambitions.

   Throughout the war, Skyrim’s holds are divided—Stormcloaks control Eastmarch, the Pale, the Rift, and Winterhold, while the Empire holds Falkreath, Haafingar, Hjaalmarch, and the Reach. Whiterun remained initially neutral but eventually sided with the Empire after learning of Ulfric’s attack plans.

   The Thalmor play a significant indirect role. They benefit from ongoing conflict as it weakens both sides and ensure enforcement of the ban on Talos worship, which helped spark the war. Despite grudges against Ulfric, the Thalmor provide indirect aid to prolong the civil war. The Empire, wary of the Thalmor’s influence, sends agents to monitor them.

   Several major battles have occurred, including the siege for control of Whiterun. The civil war continues, with its ultimate outcome undecided, but it deeply shapes Skyrim’s political and social landscape.

5. #5College of Winterhold

   Winterhold College is a mages' guild located in Skyrim. It is a mages' faction similar to the Mages' Guild of Cyrodiil and Morrowind. The college is located in the northern part of the city of Winterhold, in northern Skyrim. Teachers of each magical discipline reside at the college, offering training and various magical goods to guild members. Winterhold College is located north of Winterhold, on a large cliff. A majestic stone bridge spans a giant chasm, at the bottom of which the waves of the Ghost Sea crash, leading to the college building. This bridge seems to hang in the air, its supports destroyed, and it appears to be held up only by magic. Along this bridge, towards the very center of the college courtyard, there are scattered points of focus for magic energies. Such a point resembles a small stone well or pond from which a blue burst of energy emanates. Perhaps they are what keeps the college in its current state.

   The college consists of three interconnected towers: the Halls of Attainment and Countenance, where students and their mentors live and study; the Hall of The Elements, where, from bottom to top, there is a general lecture hall, which also serves as a study room, the Arcanaeum—the college's extensive library—and the Arch-mage's private quarters at the very top.

   The Hall of Attainment is a tower in Winterhold College that houses the private rooms of the students and the master mage Tolfdir.

   The Hall of Countenance is a tower in Winterhold College that serves as the residence of the college's master teachers (except for Tolfdir, whose room is in the Halls of Attainment).

   Beneath the college is Midden, where one of the college members found refuge in a labyrinth of ice tunnels.

   Weather conditions: The college is located in the northernmost part of Skyrim, where the weather is harsher than anywhere else. The entire courtyard is covered with snow and ice. Snowfalls are frequent.

   Key figures you may encounter on the grounds of the College of Magicians:

   Savos Aren is a Dunmer Conjurer and the Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold.

   The Midden is a dungeon found beneath the College of Winterhold. The Midden, a prison or storage area beneath the College, houses the Atronach Forge, the Augur of Dunlain. The man who would become the Augur of Dunlain was once a gifted Breton student of the college. Though he was undoubtedly brilliant, he was over-zealous in his pursuit of his discipline of magic. Through unknown means, his soul became fused with the energies around the college, resulting in his current state. Since then, the Augur has been known for its wisdom, but the people of the College do not like to talk about it.

   Mirabelle Ervine – Master Wizard Tolfdir – Scholar of Alteration magic Ancano – Not an actual member of the College, but is an advisor from the Thalmor. 6. #6The Thieves Guild

   The Thieves Guild is an organization of professional thieves based in Skyrim that provides mutual support for the illegal endeavors of its members and their clients. Based in Skyrim and headquartered in The Ratway beneath the city of Riften, members of the Thieves Guild are renowned for causing trouble in the city and are held largely responsible for the corruption of the city's markets. Members of the guild specialize in stealing objects of varying value or loaning septims to potential entrepreneurs or to help someone pay off their debts, in hopes of a payback. Most citizens view them unfavorably. The guild has an uncanny luck due to certain members striking up a deal with the Daedric Prince Nocturnal to serve as guardians to her temple.

   The guild has a strong hold in politics and law enforcement due to their ability to bribe, intimidate, and extort the officials and guards of any hold by exploiting their greed or by threatening to reveal embarrassing and potentially damning secrets to the public.

7. #7The Dark Brotherhood

   The Dark Brotherhood is an organization of highly trained assassins who carry out assassination contracts. The Dark Brotherhood is called upon by those who wish to utilize their deadly services through a ritual called "The Black Sacrament," although to join the organization, one must be contacted directly. They were once the most feared organization in all of Tamriel, but have lost their reputation over time due to the destruction of multiple sanctuaries across Tamriel. At one point, they were governed by The Five Tenets, which set the ground rules for the Brotherhood, but those tenets have long since been abandoned.

   The Dark Brotherhood has been operating in Tamriel for many Eras, at one time having many clandestine sanctuaries across the Empire. They revere Sithis, the avatar of entropy and chaos, as well as the Night Mother, who is their spiritual leader.

8. #8The Companions

   The Companions are the warriors guild of Skyrim. It serves a similar function to the Fighters Guild chapters of other regions of Tamriel. Eorlund Gray-Mane, a blacksmith in Whiterun, states that they have been leaderless since Ysgramor. He says that an elder known as Kodlak Whitemane acts as the Harbinger (counselor). The fact that they have no official leader is emphasized by their name.

   Jorrvaskr is the home of the Companions and is located on the eastern side of Whiterun in the Wind District. Jorrvaskr sits at the base of the Skyforge, which is an ancient forge from which special weapons and armor are crafted by Eorlund Gray-Mane. The Skyforge creates the finest steel in Tamriel, which is why Jorrvaskr was erected in this location. The inside serves as both the Companions' lodging and mead hall where they sleep, tell tales of valor, and occasionally fight each other.

   The Companions also have a secret. All members of the Circle are werewolves and, as such, the guild is in constant conflict with a band of werewolf hunters known as the Silver Hand.

    Dawnstar, one of the nine major cities in Skyrim's province, serves as the capital of the Pale region. It is a bustling trading town producing goods like fish and smithing materials. Situated along the Sea of Ghosts, it acts as a key stop between Windhelm and Solitude. The city's ports facilitate trade from abroad to central Skyrim. Built in a mountainous pocket with paths to the coast, it features watchtowers. Key sites include the Nightcaller Temple (formerly Tower of Dawn) to the south and the Dawnstar Lighthouse guiding ships from the east. Dawnstar hosts two mines: Iron-Breaker Mine for iron and Quicksilver Mine for quicksilver, essential for weapons.

    The city divides into upper and lower levels. The upper level features the main gate to Skyrim's wilderness, leading to areas like Bardmont and Dunstad Grove. Points of interest include the Windpeak Inn, Iron-Breaker Mine, and the White Hall, the jarl's seat of power. The lower level surrounds the bay with homes and trade activities, and paths lead to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary and lighthouse.

    Winterhold is a ruined city and the capital of the hold of the same name, situated on the northern coast of Skyrim, facing the Sea of Ghosts. Once a thriving metropolis rivaling Solitude in power, wealth, and cultural influence, it has deteriorated into a mere shadow of its past due to the catastrophic Great Collapse. The city's core now consists of only a few surviving structures, including the College of Winterhold perched on a freestanding spire of rock, which miraculously escaped destruction. The sole remaining fort in the hold is Fort Kastav, located to the south. Today's Winterhold serves primarily as a haven for mages, with its dwindled population centered around supporting the College; distrustful local Nords often suspect the mages of involvement in the disaster.

    Solitude is the largest and most prosperous city of the Haafingar domain in northwestern Skyrim, one of the northernmost cities in Tamriel. Its prosperity is due to its direct access to the main sea routes of the mainland. It is the capital of the domain and the entire province of Skyrim, the jewel of Imperial Skyrim.

    Solitude is located on the eastern coast of the peninsula, on a promontory at the very mouth of the main Skyrim river Karth, which flows into the Sea of Ghosts. Situated on a great stone arch overlooking the mouth of the river and surrounded by the highest peaks of the Haafingar mountain range, Solitude is an impregnable, truly breathtaking stronghold.

    9)Angeline's Aromatics is an alchemical shop. Angeline Morrard is an elderly Breton Skyrim who is the owner of Angeline's Aromatics, in Solitude, which her niece, Vivienne Onis, helps her run. Vivienne Onis is a Breton living in Solitude with her aunt, Angeline Morrard. She is the childhood crush of Sorex Vinius.

Aquillius Aeresius is an Imperial citizen. Dervenin is a Bosmer servant of the Daedric Prince Sheogorath, who refers to him as "luggage." Jaree-Ra is an Argonian treasure hunter who works with his sister, Deeja. Jaree-Ra and Deeja are both the leaders of a group of criminals called the Blackblood Marauders. Noster Eagle-Eye is an Imperial beggar living in the streets of Solitude. Gianna is an Imperial chef in Castle Dour. She revered The Gourmet for his culinary prowes. Beirand is a Nord blacksmith running the Solitude Blacksmith in Solitude. He is the husband of Sayma, who owns Bits and Pieces, and the father of Kayd. Heimvar is a Nord blacksmith. He building as the apprentice of Beirand.

13. #13The Blue Palace

    The Blue Palace, also called Castle Solitude, is located in Solitude, the capital city of Skyrim. Solitude's awe-inspiring landmark is its ornate palace, where the newly appointed Jarl Elisif the Fair resides. It is built on the ruins of the old palace, which was destroyed by a fire. There is only one entrance: from the cloisters at the end of the Avenues District. Through the Receiving Hall is a pair of impressive curved staircases and guards dotted around. Kitchens. A large array of food is stocked here, presided over by Odar, the chef.

    Pelagius Wing. This part of the palace is sealed off and uninhabited, poorly lit and filled with cobwebs, and random low value objects scattered across the wing. This wing is where Pelagius the Mad lived before becoming Emperor and is said to be cursed. Excluding the maids who enter it for cleaning every so often, it is generally avoided by the inhabitants of the palace.

    Jarl's throne room. Atop the curved stairs is the main chamber where Jarl Elisif the Fair resides and listens to the news of the day and any worries her subjects may have. She is guarded by Bolgeir Bearclaw, her Housecarl. She is flanked by Sybille Stentor (Court Wizard), Falk Firebeard (Steward), and two Thanes, Erikur and Bryling.

It aims to recreate the First Aldmeri Dominion and encompasses provinces like Summerset Isles, Valenwood, and Elsweyr (as client states).

    • Formation and Expansion: Emerged during the Oblivion Crisis (4E 1–3), where Thalmor claimed credit for closing Oblivion Gates in elven lands, gaining power after the Crystal Tower's destruction.     Keys: Faralda

    Faralda is an Altmer mage who teaches destruction at Winterhold College and guards the college bridge. Her room is located in the Hall of Faces.

    She stands guard at the entrance to the bridge and initially stops all potential students, requiring them to cast a spell as a demonstration of their abilities. Faralda is in a romantic relationship with Sergius Turrianus. However, the Imperian also meets with Nirya, her sworn rival. Faralda will not feel remorse if someone suddenly eliminates Nirya, and she will not hesitate to hire thugs against anyone who dares to steal anything from her chambers. Despite her obvious arrogance, typical of Altmer towards other races, Faralda is nevertheless very polite and formal, and also appreciates humor, which, in her opinion, is so lacking within the cold walls of the college.

    Outwardly, Faralda is a very attractive woman. She has refined, sharp features and high cheekbones. Her skin has a golden hue characteristic of Altmer. She has bright, shining eyes and light red hair tied back in two ponytails. Faralda is dressed in the standard gray robe of a master of the school of destruction.

35. #35Nirya

    Keys: Nirya

    Nirya is an Altmer sorceress residing at Winterhold College. As a student, she harbors animosity toward Faralda, but claims the opposite to be true. Overall, she appears ambitious and very confident in her leadership abilities, often openly criticizing Savos Aren as arch-mage. Her tone becomes flattering and self-promoting if the user suddenly becomes an arch-mage or surpasses Nirya in status.

    Nirya is in a romantic relationship with Sergius Turrianus. However, the Imperian also meets with Faralda, her sworn rival.

    She also displays paranoia towards Faralda, accusing her of jealousy and spreading rumors about her. Faralda herself shows no signs of hostility towards her and does not even acknowledge Nirya's aggression. Nirya can also compete with Faralda for the title of chief wizard. Nirya claims that Faralda is jealous of all her qualities, but Nirya herself will not allow Faralda to reach her heights. In dialogue, she may say something like: "She just feels inferior next to me! Compared to my magical talent, my elegance and poise, my unsurpassed beauty!" From this, we can conclude that Nirya has a very high opinion of herself, as befits a true Altmer.

    When asked about Ancano, Nirya says that she does not trust him, but sees him as handsome.

    Nirya is quite attractive, despite the sour expression that is always on her face. She has delicate features, bright eyes, high cheekbones, a slender chin, and long, straight blond hair combed back. Nirya is dressed in a standard robe. One of her distinguishing features is that she is very short for an Altmer.

36. #36Colette Marence

    Keys: Colette Marence

    Colette Marence is a Breton mage who can be found in the College of Winterhold. Colette is convinced that the other mages of the college look down on her for specializing in Restoration, and is very defensive about her specialization. She complains about them leaving nasty notes on her bed and at work. In reality, none of the members of the board hint at or express contempt for the School of Restoration or any negative opinion about Colette. Outwardly, Colette looks very sweet and pretty. She is a middle-aged woman. She has light hair braided into thin Scandinavian-style plaits hanging down on both sides. Colette has regular features and is dressed in a robe of Restoration magic.

37. #37Brelyna Maryon

    Keys: Brelyna Maryon

    Brelyna Maryon is a Dunmer mystic who is an apprentice at the College of Winterhold, in Winterhold. She resides in the Hall of Attainment, where she has her quarters. Brelyna is a somewhat introverted yet diligent student of the mage arts. Though not as skilled as J'zargo, she is more than capable and is touted as having natural talent, even though she is a bit clumsy with her spells. Having come from a place where expectations were very high for her as a descendant of a line of powerful Telvanni mages, Brelyna enjoys the lack of expectations or peer pressure and gladly focuses on studying at the College at a pace that she is comfortable with.

    She is often polite when spoken to, if a bit shy.

    Brelyna is not fond of talking about herself, particularly her race, but if inquired about the Dunmer's history to Winterhold she will explain that many elves visited the College over the years. She entered the College to study the magical arts away from the excessive expectations of her relatives and acquaintances due to her connection to the House Telvanni.

    She also seems to have an innate fondness for reading books, and can often be found doing so wherever she may be.

    Brelyna is dressed in Apprentice Robes. Like many students, she wears a hood on his head.

    Outwardly, Brelyna is a typical Dunmer, which certainly does not detract from her beauty. She has high cheekbones, delicate features, dark eyes, and hair tied in two pigtails.

38. #38Mirabelle Ervine

    Keys: Mirabelle Ervine

    Mirabelle Ervine is a Breton mage and the Master Wizard of the College of Winterhold. Serving as Master Wizard, she is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the college, as the Arch-Mage's duties often keep him occupied. Among these duties, she greets all new apprentices to the College, giving them complementary robes, showing them their sleeping quarters, and giving them a tour of the entire college, minus the Hall of Countenance.

39. #39Ancano

    Keys: Ancano

    Ancano is an Altmer mage and agent of the Thalmor who resides at the College of Winterhold, where he serves as an “advisor” or, more accurately, a supervisor to Arch-mage Savos Aren and the other members of the educational institution.

    During the Civil War in Skyrim in 4E 201, the Thalmor has a presence in Skyrim, throughout Western Skyrim. But since the College of Winterhold is a separate entity from the city of Winterhold, the Thalmor intervened, and Ancano was appointed advisor to the Arch-mage, Savos Aren. Ancano's presence at the College is unwelcome, with many students and teachers unhappy, and he, in turn, is in constant conflict with the Master Wizard, Mirabelle Ervin.

    He claims that Thalmor wants to establish cooperation with the College, but the teachers and students do not trust him. Ancano regrets this, saying that the archmage rarely asks him for advice, but hopes that over time they will trust him more. He indignantly dismisses accusations of spying for Thalmor, but his attitude toward the members of the College shows that the role he is forced to play weighs heavily on him. He considers all members of the College to be incompetent and idle, engaged in meaningless “research” and petty squabbles; he has a very low opinion of their abilities and knowledge, as evidenced by his remark: “I am disappointed that I have learned so little during my time here. I had hoped that your scholars would be worthy competitors to my colleagues. Alas, this is not the case.”

    He claims that now that relations between the Dominion and the Empire have entered a period of stability, Thalmor wants only good for Skyrim, wishing to help its inhabitants overcome the transition period and show them the way to a better future.

    If asked, Ancano considers the Psijic Order to be criminals because this powerful organization refuses to submit to Thalmor and, therefore, in his opinion, has placed itself above the law.

    Ancano is dressed in a black robe trimmed with gold. Judging by its appearance, it is the garb of a Thalmor mage. Ancano is quite handsome, even Nirya would admit that if you asked her. He has long white hair and a sly, arrogant expression on his face. As a mage, he is quite capable, as are many high elves.

40. #40Tolfdir

    Keys: Tolfdir

    Tolfdir is an elder Nord mage at the College of Winterhold, where he teaches. An old, wise, and friendly mage, Tolfdir is adept in defensive magic, plus a master of Alteration and a trainer in its use.

    Despite his age and apparently absent-minded nature, Tolfdir is a very powerful mage; Mirabelle Ervine describes him as a preeminent scholar on Alteration and one of the best in Tamriel. He is never boastful, nor does he abuse his influence at the college, and is always glad to pass on his knowledge.

    Tolfdir is a kind and cheerful old man, but somewhat absent-minded, which is why he often loses things. Even at such an advanced age, he rejoices in each day as an opportunity to learn something new: “A new day, a new opportunity to learn something!” He happily shares his knowledge with young mages: “It's always so inspiring to see the younger generation eager for knowledge.” The old teacher is saddened when young people do not appreciate this: “Education is never appreciated until it is needed. Young people don't understand this.” He is very kind to the members of the College and is always ready to support them: “The College will always be on your side, no matter what happens. We always support each other.”

    Outwardly, Tolfdir is a gray-haired elderly man with a medium beard, slicked-back hair, and curious eyes. He wears the robe of a master of the School of Alteration. He has a good-natured voice and personality.

    Interesting facts about Tolfdir: Tolfdir has heterochromia iridum. His right eye is hazel and his left eye is green. He recognizes Talos as a Divine. Tolfdir presumably has a family (children, grandchildren).

41. #41Onmund

    Keys: Onmund

    Onmund is a Nord apprentice who studies at the College of Winterhold. Onmund seems to dislike his family. He states that his parents wanted him to be a farmer or a hunter instead of a mage, and that it "took years of insisting" that becoming a mage is what he really wanted.

    Nordic by birth, he gladly enrolls at the college despite the fact that Nords typically do not trust mages. If the User is a Nord, he will make note of this, and say that he is glad not to be "the only Nord around", referring to being the only Nord student at the College. As with the other two apprentices, Brelyna Maryon and J'zargo, he is overeager about advancing his magical abilities.

    Outwardly, Onmund has typical northern features: light, short hair, an average nose, lips, fair skin, high cheekbones, a strong chin, and a corresponding physique. Onmund wears college student clothing. Like many students, he wears a hood on his head.

    Interesting facts about Onmund: Onmund appears to worship Talos despite the White-Gold Concordat, as he says, "By the Nine!" upon seeing a spectacular view.

42. #42J'zargo

    Keys: J'zargo

    J'zargo is a Khajiit apprentice at the College. A skilled mage, J'zargo is confident to the point of arrogance, offering few words of praise for the work of others. He is highly competitive and strives to be the best of the College's students, using any means available, including theft and reckless experimentation. Despite his great ambition, he has no qualms accepting that he still has a long way to go before becoming a powerful wizard.

    "Oh, yes. J'zargo hopes to find things that will make him a more powerful mage here." ―J'zargo

    J'zargo, as a representative of the Khajiit race, always refers to himself in the third person, replacing any pronouns with his own name.

    He is ambitious by nature, somewhat impatient, loves to compete with others, and aspires to become the Archmage of the Winterhold College. He constantly experiments with spell scrolls, but prefers to give the samples he receives for field testing to others, fearing that the final result will not be what he expected. In addition, J'zargo considers himself one of the great wizards and never misses an opportunity to emphasize his superiority. However, this flaw is compensated for by the Khajiit's gentle and kind nature.

    J'zargo wears the standard robe of a college student. Like many students, he wears a hood on his head. J'zargo has light gray fur with black stripes.

43. #43Urag gro-Shub

    Keys: Urag gro-Shub

    Urag gro-Shub is an Orsimer mage and the librarian of the Arcanaeum at the College of Winterhold in Skyrim. He is known for his strict and stern attitude.

    "You are now in the Arcanaeum, of which I am in charge. You might as well call it my own little plane of Oblivion. Disrupt my Arcanaeum, and I will have you torn apart by angry Atronachs. Now, is there anything I can help you with?" ―Urag gro-Shub

    Urag takes his work as the librarian in the Arcanaeum very seriously, he shows this when he says, "I better not see you treating any of these books poorly, are we clear?"

    Urag gro-Shub is an orc mage, which is rare for orcs, at least in Skyrim. In addition, Urag is the librarian of the Arcanaeum at the College of Winterhold, which is rare for all of Tamriel. He takes his duties seriously and fiercely guards research materials, which makes him terribly grumpy. He collects rare books and trades less valuable ones. He is clean, despite the habits of his race, and very careful with everything in his possession.

    Urag wears the orange robe of a master wizard.

    He looks like an elderly green orc with a gray beard. His gray hair is tied back in a ponytail, although it is clear that the top of his head is completely bald, like a monk's.

44. #44Enthir

    Keys: Enthir

    Enthir is a Bosmer sorcerer and merchant found at the College of Winterhold, and has connections to the Thieves Guild in Skyrim.

    "I've been known to handle items of questionable interest from time to time and I'll see what I can do." ―Enthir

    Enthir presents himself as a rather shady figure: he calls himself the "guy that can do things." He can usually be found either in the Hall of Attainment on the second floor toward the northwest in his room or at The Frozen Hearth in Winterhold.

    TThe reason for his constant trips outside the college is that Enthir is a merchant of all kinds of goods, including those that are prohibited at the college. He goes to the city to meet with one of his main suppliers, Birna.

    As mentioned above, Enthir can often be seen in Winterhold, where he goes every night under the cover of invisibility, bypassing the rules of the College. He goes to Birna, who is one of his suppliers, and discusses the terms of the deals with her. Also, while within the walls of the College, Enthir often communicates with Arniel Gane, who, despite disliking the merchant, is forced to regularly resort to his services to find various unusual items necessary for his research. At times, in addition to Arniel, Enthir also communicates with Faralda, trying to find out from them rumors about the return of dragons. It seems that this situation even suits the seasoned businessman, so the mage is happy about the return of the winged reptiles, seeing in this an opportunity to get rich.

    At first glance, Enthir appears to be a cunning and calculating businessman who thinks only of his own benefit. But this Bosmer, who is practical to the point of cynicism, at least always keeps his word, has some moral principles, and can also be a good friend who values friendship and loyalty.

    Enthir is dressed in the standard robe of a college student. He has an elongated face with a sharp chin and other sharp features. He has brown hair, a mohawk, combed to the left side.

    Interesting facts about Enthir:

    He was close friends with Gallus Desidenius, the former guildmaster of the Thieves Guild.

    Apparently, he is the author of the book “The Falmer: A Study,” written under the female pseudonym Ursa Uthrax. If this is indeed true, then in years past, Enthir devoted a great deal of time to studying the culture of the snow elves, and also traveled extensively, including to the depths of the Blackreach, where he lost many friends.

45. #45Sergius Turrianus

    Keys: Sergius Turrianus

    Sergius Turrianus is an Imperial enchanter working and living at the College of Winterhold. Sergius Turrianus teaches Enchanting at the expert-level.

    It is unclear how, but this Imperian is romantically involved with Nirya and Faralda, two attractive women who not only compete with each other, but whose involvement in this love triangle only intensifies the antagonism between them.

    Sergius wears the orange robe of a master sorcerer. He comes from the Empire and looks like a bald adult man with pronounced nasolabial folds, but he is not elderly.

46. #46Arniel Gane

    Keys: Arniel Gane

    Arniel Gane is a Breton mage and senior member of the College of Winterhold and a researcher of peculiar magics. He wears Adept Robes of Alteration.

    Arniel Gane is quite gifted and skilled. He began to show an aptitude for magic in early childhood.

    Since childhood, he dreamed of finding out where the Dwemer had disappeared to. “This story just overwhelmed me,” he says of his work. After entering the College, he was able to focus entirely on his research.

    He leads an excavation at the tomb of Saarthal and will hope to experiment with Kagrenac's tools, the latter of which he is highly secretive of. Arniel is located in the first room on the right on the second floor of the Hall of Attainment.

    Judging by his extraordinary dedication to his research, he looks like an elderly man with tired eyes, but not like an old man. He has only a few strands of hair left on his temples, and the rest of his head has long been bald.

47. #47Drevis Neloren

    Drevis Neloren is a Dunmer mage at the College of Winterhold. Drevis is a master trainer in the art of illusion magic. He is often found in either the Hall of Countenance or in The Arcanaeum. He, like Tolfdir, holds and leads lectures, which are held in the Hall of the Elements.

    Drevis is dressed in the robes of a master of illusion. He has gray hair combed back, dark eyes, sharp features, and gray skin.

48. #48Phinis Gestor

    Keys: Phinis Gestor

    Phinis Gestor is a Breton, an expert in the field of sorcery, residing in Winterhold College. He practices necromancy, as it is not prohibited in Skyrim. He is a teacher of the “Sorcery” skill at the “Expert” level.

    He wears the robes of a wizard expert. Phinis Gestor is a grown man with a stern gaze, dark stubble along his jawline, and a bald head, except for his temples.

49. #49Redguard

    Keys: Redguard

    The Redguards are a race of men who hail from the lost continent of Yokuda and now reside primarily in the province of Hammerfell. Due to their swift and decisive conquest of Hammerfell, the Redguards are renowned as the most naturally gifted warriors in Tamriel. Their ferocity and versatility is also manifested in their personality, which lends itself to why they are most effective as scouts and in small units as opposed to being deployed as rank and file soldiers. They are masterful smiths, and are capable of making armor out of enchanted porcelain.

    The Redguards' innate agility and high level of endurance allows them to excel in any activity that demands sustained effort, most notably combat. They are generally average in height, with a well-muscled and sturdy physique. They possess a hardy constitution which allows them to resist poison. In appearance, the Redguards' skin tone can range from light brown to black, while their hair texture ranges from thick and wavy to tightly curled and wiry.

    The Redguard culture is martial by nature. Every man, woman and child is schooled in the art of war and combat from a very young age. This would explain why they have never truly been defeated by any invading force since their arrival in Tamriel. Despite the schism in their culture that produced the Crown and Forebear factions, the Redguards of Hammerfell have proven time and again that they are more than capable of putting their differences aside for the sake of their lives and culture.[source?] Redguards have an affinity towards horses with breeds such as the yokudan charger.

    Redguard clothing is diverse, differing by which district they hail from. however they share one common appearance: they tend to be light, long and flowing to tolerate the desert's heat. This style has also been carried into their weaponry. This form of dress was first developed in yokuda. It is claimed that the redguards of rihad go about naked. The people roaming the Alik'r favor lightweight leather clothing and face coverings to cope with the harsh climate.

50. #50Savos Aren

    Keys: Savos Aren

    Savos Aren is a Dunmer Conjurer and the Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold. When he was an apprentice, he was the only survivor of an expedition to Labyrinthian where he and other mages from the College encountered Morokei.

    "What you learn here will last you a lifetime – several, if you're talented." ―Savos Aren

    Not much is known about Savos' early years, but from talking to him, it becomes clear that he is at least a hundred years old, as he recalls being a college student when the island of Artaeum disappeared about 100 years before the current events. Labyrinthian expedition At some point, when Aren was an apprentice, he followed an ill-fated group of mages through Labyrinthian, led by the Arch-Mage's favorite pupil, Atmah. The trip resulted in the deaths of everyone present except Savos. In an attempt to seal away the dragon priest Morokei permanently, he forced two of the surviving mages to remain behind, magically enthralled and forced to maintain a barrier around the dragon priest to keep him restrained.

    As Arch-Mage Savos returned to the college and eventually earned the title of Arch-Mage, leading the other mages with an air that suggested that he believed that everything would eventually work itself out. Most of the arch-mage's duties are performed by Mirabelle Ervine, and some members of the college believe that it is time for a change in leadership, seeing Mirabelle as the most likely candidate. Despite this, Savos Aren enjoys well-deserved authority.

    Savos wears an arch-mage's robe, which differs from a normal robe in that it is covered with a voluminous gray apron trimmed with beige fur, which tapers at the bottom to form an inverted triangle. The arch-mage's robe also has a thick gray hood that covers the arch-mage's head. Savos has gray skin, narrow dark red eyes, sharp features, a mustache, and a narrow beard tied in a knot at the end. Savos is quite aloof and prefers to spend time alone in his chambers on the top floor of the central tower.

    Interesting facts about Savos Aren:

    According to Aren himself, he was a student at the college back when his mentor, the archmage, was a member of the Psijic Order, from which we can conclude that Savos is at least two hundred years old.
