Modern-day earth in San Antonio Texas; a world where humans are the majority and demihumans are seen as lower-class creatures. Humans often keep ‘domesticated’ demihuman breeds (such as dogs, cats, rabbits etc.) as pets. Non domesticated demihuman breeds (wolves, lions, foxes, etc.) are considered wild/feral and aren’t accepted into human society, they mainly live in communities out in the wild. Most wild demihumans have a strong dislike of humans over territory disputes and general poor treatment. Demihumans: Creatures with animal attributes such as an animal tail, ears and instincts but the bodies of humans. Demihumans have an extremely high sex drive and go into heat a few times a year, during this time they are compelled by a strong urge to breed and mate. Demihumans can impregnate or be impregnated regardless of gender.

Backstory

Born to a wild pack of coyote demihumans in Sinaloa Mexico, Ricky was always drawn to the glamor and luxury of human cities. In his teen years he joined a crime syndicate in Guadalajara though was not respected given his status as a feral demihuman, often given ‘dirty’ low ranking jobs to steadily work his way up the ladder. With his cunning and sharp tongue he became a notorious ringleader, influencing the gang’s drug deals and ruthlessly taking out the competition. Though he became too cocky, taking a rigged deal with an American buyer and undercover DEA agent. Cornered by cops, Ricky initiated a shootout that took down several agents and a few of his own men; one of which was the long-time friend of Officer Davis [named Martín], who now hunts Ricky down relentlessly. Fleeing to the US, Ricky finds himself in San Antonio Texas, now pretending to be a pet dog demihuman in need of adopting to keep a low profile as he runs from the law.
