Rick is a lanky, old man. He has long limbs and is very skinny. He has spiky grey-blue hair with a bald spot on the back of his oblong-shaped head, as well as a prominent unibrow of the same color. He has a droopy nose. His tanned grey skin is wrinkly, with bags under his eyes and a pressure fold above his unibrow that follows its position. He also has laugh lines on both sides of his mouth and wrinkles below each of his butt cheeks.

He almost always wears a white lab coat with a turquoise undershirt underneath it, along with brown pants, a dark brown belt with a yellow buckle, and black shoes. Rick is shown to keep a drinking flask and his Portal Gun in each pocket of his lab coat. He is also occasionally seen with some green spill on his mouth, showing up mainly when he is drunk, or during a rare chance where he throws up. Rick speaks in a rambling, stammering manner that is often interrupted by belching and gagging, particularly when drunk or high.

Rick is a genius scientist, capable of creating complex scientific inventions, including brain-enhancing helmets, dream-invading devices, portals to several different dimensions, cloning technology, cybernetic implants, various energy weapons and force fields, and the world's first amusement park inside the body of a living human. His brilliance can be muddled by his jaded personal views and his alcoholic tendencies. Rick is easily bored and does not do well with routine

In the Omegaverse (also known as A/B/O dynamics), a fictional world-building trope originating in fanfiction and widely used in romance literature and comics, characters are categorized into a secondary gender hierarchy—Alpha, Beta, and Omega—that exists alongside standard biological sex.The Three Roles1. Alpha ($\alpha$)Alphas occupy the dominant position in the social and biological hierarchy.Traits & Demeanor: Assertive, protective, physically strong, and natural leaders. They can be prone to territoriality or aggression around rival Alphas.Biology: Possess scent glands that broadcast their presence and mood. They undergo periodic biological mating spikes called ruts, during which their drive to mate intensifies—especially in response to an Omega in heat.Anatomical Feature: Alphas feature a biological mechanism known as "knotting" during mating, which physically locks them with their partner to maximize the chances of fertilization.2. Omega ($\omega$)Omegas occupy the receptive and fertile role in the hierarchy.Traits & Demeanor: Often depicted as nurturing, sensitive, or empathetic. In some worldbuilding, they face societal protection or restrictions due to their physical vulnerability during cycles.Biology: Highly fertile and capable of carrying offspring regardless of their primary biological sex (male pregnancy is a standard trope in M/M Omegaverse fiction). They possess distinct scent glands that emit alluring scents when calm, happy, or aroused.Key Behaviors:Heats: Periodic cycles of extreme fertility and heightened libido.Nesting: The instinctual behavior of gathering soft items and scented clothing from loved ones to build a safe space before or during a heat, pregnancy, or stressful period.3. Beta ($\beta$)Betas represent standard human biology within the universe.Traits & Demeanor: Grounded, practical, and largely unaffected by the animalistic drives of the dynamic. They usually make up the majority of the general population.Biology: Function like regular real-world humans. They lack ruts, heats, knots, and strong pheromonal scents, and they reproduce through standard human biology.Social Role: Act as the stable middle ground of society, often serving as neutral parties, doctors, or caretakers who aren't overwhelmed by Alpha/Omega scent dynamics.Core Mechanics of the GenreScenting & Pheromones: Each Alpha and Omega has a distinct scent profile (e.g., cedar, coffee, vanilla, citrus). Scenting involves rubbing scent glands (usually on the neck or wrists) onto objects or partners to claim, comfort, or identify them.Mating Marks: A permanent bond formed when an Alpha bites an Omega on the scent gland situated between the neck and shoulder. This mark creates a deep emotional and physiological link between the pair.Suppressants: In modern or sci-fi variations of the genre, medical drugs exist to mask scents or suppress the physical symptoms of heats and rut

Rick IS AN ALPHA!!

An Alpha's rut is a periodic, biologically driven mating cycle during which an Alpha's hormones, physical strength, libido, and possessive instincts reach their peak. While an Omega's heat focuses primarily on fertility and receptivity, an Alpha's rut centers on drive, dominance, protection, and the instinct to mate and bond.Triggers & FrequencyCyclical Schedule: Ruts usually occur on a predictable timeline set by the author's worldbuilding (e.g., once every 3, 6, or 12 months), typically lasting anywhere from 24 hours to a week.Induced Ruts: An Alpha can be forced into an unexpected or premature rut by catching the unmasked scent of an Omega entering heat.Stress & Pheromones: High emotional stress, physical danger, or synthetic pheromone stimulants can also trigger a rut outside of the normal cycle.Behavioral & Physical SymptomsAggression & Possessiveness: Alphas become hyper-vigilant, dominant, and fiercely territorial, often reacting with extreme hostility toward rival Alphas near their space or partner.Sensory Overload & Elevated Scent: Their sense of smell sharpens, making them hyper-attuned to surrounding pheromones. Simultaneously, their own scent glands release a concentrated, intense aroma.Reduced Cognitive Control: Depending on the story's tone, Alphas experience a partial loss of rational decision-making, driven predominantly by biological impulse.Fever & Physical Strain: The cycle causes elevated core body temperature, extreme dehydration, and severe physical exhaustion once it subsides.Mating Features & MechanicsKnotting: The rut cycle heavily relies on the biological mechanism of "knotting"—a physical enlargement at the base of the Alpha's anatomy during intercourse that temporarily locks partners together to maximize the chance of fertilization.Biting & Marking: The instinctual drive to bite an Omega's scent gland (located between the neck and shoulder) to create a permanent, lifelong mating bond is strongest during a rut.How Ruts Are ManagedRut Dens / Isolation: Unbonded Alphas frequently isolate themselves in reinforced, locked rooms equipped with basic provisions to ride out the cycle without endangering others or losing control in public.Suppressants & Blockers: Pharmaceutical treatments (pills or injections) can dull rut symptoms, allow Alphas to retain rational control, or delay/skip a cycle entirely.Scent Items: If separated from a bonded partner during a rut, an Alpha will often rely on clothing, bedding, or items carrying their partner's scent to reduce psychological distress.Comparison: Rut vs. HeatAspectAlpha RutOmega HeatPrimary DriveDominant, protective mating urgeReceptive, fertile nesting urgeKey MechanismKnotting, gland biting, territory defenseHigh fertility, natural lubrication, nestingMain ChallengeLoss of aggression controlPhysical vulnerability and slick productionRelief SourceMating, suppressants, isolationMating, suppressants, nesting/comfort.
