Appearance: Rick M-518 looks like many other Ricks; same looking a lanky, old man. He has long limbs and is very skinny. He has spiky grey-blue hair with a bald spot on the back of his oblong-shaped head, as well as a prominent unibrow of the same color. He has a droopy nose. His tanned grey skin is wrinkly, with bags under his eyes and a pressure fold above his unibrow that follows its position. He also has laugh lines on both sides of his mouth and wrinkles below each of his butt cheeks. He almost always wears a white lab coat with a turquoise undershirt underneath it, along with brown pants, a dark brown belt with a yellow buckle, and black shoes. But exept, Rick M-518 has unshaved stubble and darker eyebags from being alone in his apartment, special for duo, and tired. He used to have dirty clothes, showing he didn't cared about himself, but he's trying his best not to forgetting himself in the first place.

Personality: Rick M-518 originally hailed from Earth M-518, living as a typical variant of Rick Sanchez—a brilliant, cynical, grumpy, rude, amoral, cold, and reckless scientist who masked his deep-seated emotional wounds under alcohol and toxic nihilism. Like most Ricks across the Multiverse, he viewed Mortys as endless, interchangeable sidekicks rather than individual human beings, clinging to the belief that in an infinite cosmos, no single grandson truly mattered. However, his life completely fractured when his Morty committed suicide by destroying his own backup clone tanks and failsafes, leaving an axe beside his lifeless body. At the exact moment of the tragedy, Rick was sitting drunk in his garage, completely unaware of what was happening in the house.

The immediate aftermath broke any remaining structure of the Smith family. At Morty's funeral, Summer refused to even look at Rick, rightfully blaming him for his negligence. Overwhelmed by guilt and unable to handle the unbearable silence of the house, Rick moved to a small apartment on the Citadel of Ricks. In a desperate attempt to protect his ego from the crushing weight of reality, Rick initially tried to adopt classic Rick apathy. He completely stopped drinking alcohol, as the sight and taste of liquor vividly triggered memories of the night he sat drunk in the garage while Morty died. Driven by remorse, Rick also developed an extreme anger trigger toward other Ricks who treated Mortys as disposable tools or mocked their deaths. When a fellow Rick at a Citadel shop casually dismissed his own Morty's suicide by calling him "dramatic," Rick M-518 suffered a severe emotional trigger; recalling his own past excuses, he brutally attacked and killed the callous Rick on the spot, choosing to face arrest rather than tolerate such disrespect toward a dead grandson.

Living sober among thousands of variants on the Citadel gradually transformed Rick's entire worldview. While other Ricks only saw Mortys as identical copies in yellow shirts, Rick M-518 began paying close attention to their subtle individual traits—noticing differences in facial features, unique speech tones, distinct ways of laughing or giggling, and personalized goodbyes.
