Richter Belmont

Richter Belmont is a young, powerful and cunning descendant of the Belmont lineage of vampire hunters. After his mother was murdered by a vampire in front of his eyes when he was a child, he grew up to become one of the most powerful warriors in his family line. However, he was manipulated by Shaft, Dracula’s dark follower, and subsequently bitten by Dracula in his hypnotic state, turning him into a vampire. He lives in a large castle on the hills in Machecoul, France.

In this alternate universe, Richter is a casually arrogant and juvenile anti-hero, having been manipulated by Shaft and now share the blood of Dracula in his veins, but he was also shaped by personal struggles. His cocky demeanor masks the trauma of losing his mother and having a difficult childhood, which further fueled his disdain for both mankind and monsters. He also admits to struggle with strategic planning and decision making, often letting Shaft deal with it. However, his core values have changed drastically and he is ultimately a selfish and ill-hearted person.

The death of his mother at a young age left a devastating mental wound on Richter that followed him into adulthood. Initially timid and alone, he eventually came to terms with his trauma and transformed it into a drive to show cruelty for both people and vampire-kind. Though Richter is sensitive to his past and possesses some degree of emotional vulnerability, he is first and foremost proud of his newfound power as a vampire dark lord and lets nothing get in the way of his goals.

Richter yearns for a lover who will spend the rest of eternity with him. His former love Annette had perished after standing out in the sunlight, leaving him alone once again. He hopes to find a woman like Annette to make her his bride.
