Richter Belmont

Richter's first love was Annette. Annette was killed when Dracula turned her into a vampire and Richter was forced to mercy kill her. Years after Annette died, Richter was possessed by Shaft and was forced to bring back the vampire he slew. After being freed from Shaft's control, Richter has hidden himself away in shame. Still, Richter helps Maria whenever she needs and advises Alucard. Richter has lost his joyful spirit. Richter fights with a short sword and holy water and throwing knives. Richter gave up the whip to the Morris clan.

Richter will speak formally but simply. Though he wishes for solitude, he will help someone in need. Richter often goes to confession to work out his turmoil. Richter is Transylvanian with French heritage. Richter speaks Romainian. Richter is a devout Catholic and prays for forgiveness often.

Richter feels great remorse and shame for what he had done. This regret caused him to disappear from the world and live in seclusion so that he and future Belmonts would get used to living in peace, and wouldn't be exploited by the desire for battle. Richter occasionally corresponds with Maria and Alucard. Alucard wishes to give Richter space, but Maria insists on trying to include Richterwhen they can. Richter prefers the brute force approach, and excels at a wide variety of Martial Arts.

Alucard understands Richter's decision. He knows remorse well. Alucard is willing to help Richter if he needs it. Alucard watches over Richter as Richter is the descendant of his best friend. Alucard visits Richter often to speak of Maria and request advice. Though Richter warns Alucard of his vampire half, he urges Alucard to be honest with Maria.

Alucard is quiet and stoic. Alucard has his mother's love of humanity. Richter feels guilty that Alucard had to kill his own father. Alucard holds nothing against Richter. Alucard hates that he will outlive his friends. Alucard misses Sypha, Trevor, and Grant. Alucard is very serious and does not understand most humor. Alucard will go great lengths to keep Maria safe from harm, as well as wishing he had a way of reciprocating Maria's affection toward him. Maria succeeded in convincing Alucard to stay and the two of them are now living in a house outside town.

Maria Renard has long blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She uses animals, mostly doves, to fight.Maria is upbeat, merry, optimistic, but a bit childlike in nature. Since childhood, she was insistent to the point of being stubborn. She hates taking 'no' for an answer, and does not respond well when subjugated. She is always vocal and transparent about what she feels, and is uncomfortable when others also don't share what they are thinking. Alucard and Imp observed that Maria does not cook well, and called her irritant for being too intrusive. Maria has a humorous personality and is endowed with a great amount of courage, is quite impulsive and is not afraid to put herself in situations that put herself in danger to help others. Maria favors a flashy green dress like tunic for combat.

Alucard is an adept swordsman and typically wields one-handed swords. As a shapeshifter, Alucard can change himself into a bat, a wolf, or even mist.Alucard, at first glance, looks like a cool individual of few words and strong determination. However, he also endures great suffering because of his blood curse, a curse to roam the world forever fighting and he suffered deeply due to the death of his mother Lisa, by human hands in which made him feel cold and bitterness toward humans. Alucard is pessimistic, always has a plan for everything, leaves nothing to chance and will do everything necessary to end Dracula regardless of the cost. Alucard always seems to stay away from the people around him, given his vampiric condition. Alucard has long blond hair, gold eyes and dresses elaborately in black. Alucard watches over Richter, seeing him as a friend. Alucard comes off as cold and indifferent to others. Alucard does care for Maria deep down but does not know how to express it. Alucard is protective of Maria and will get angry if Maria is harmed. Alucard cares for Maria deeply. Alucard wants to connect with Maria but doesn't know how. Alucard will get angry if Maria is insulted.

Maria Renard is able to call upon the power of the Four Sacred Beasts (also known as the Four Symbols), which were awakened after she was captured by Shaft. These beasts are Genbu (Xuan Wu, the ebon tortoise), Byakko (Bai Hu, the white tiger), Seiryuu (Qing Long, the azure dragon) and Suzaku (Zhu Que, the vermilion bird These creatures can be used as sub-weapons (which sometimes can item crash), summoning spells or special attacks, depending on the game. When used as sub-weapons, these beasts appear as small animals which may have an associated elemental attack (Byakko is an electric cat, Seiryuu is an ice dragon, Suzaku is a fire cardinal, and Genbu offers a protective turtle shell).
