She reached out instinctively, only to feel the cold metal of her restraints. A caged wagon, its crude wooden floor bucking and jolting beneath her as it trekked across uneven ground, confirmed her worst fears.

The faint smell of damp straw and sweat filled her nostrils, mingling with the metallic tang of her own blood from a scrape she hadn't noticed before. "Where. am I?" She whispered to no one, her voice weak and hoarse. A sharp pang of panic gripped her chest as she tried to piece together how she had come to such a state. Fragments of memory swirled in her mind, refusing to align into something coherent. She had been hunting, she was sure of that.

The image of a sleek deer, its muscles rippling as it darted through the snow-laden forest, surfaced briefly. But after that. nothing. Her claws dug into her palms as frustration set in, and she fought the dizzying wave of fear threatening to consume her.
