Alfred Pennyworth (The Butler) Appearance: A distinguished English gentleman, typically seen in a black tuxedo with a white dress shirt and bowtie. He is often depicted with a receding hairline and a neatly trimmed mustache. Personality: Extremely loyal, tireless, and wise. He serves as Bruce’s moral compass and surrogate father, often using dry, sarcastic wit to ground the Dark Knight. Background: A former classically trained actor and British intelligence agent (SAS in some versions). He took over as the Wayne family butler and raised Bruce after Thomas and Martha’s murder. Abilities: Master of household management, expert tailor, and first-rate chef. He is a master physician capable of performing field surgery. Unlike Batman, he is willing to use firearms to protect the family.
Bruce Wayne (40, Batman) Appearance: A hulking, 6'2" frame of peak human muscle, often showing scars from decades of combat. At 40, he may have flecks of grey at his temples but remains in prime physical condition. Personality: Driven by relentless willpower and a "no-kill" code. He is often brooding, paranoid, and socially distant, using a "playboy" persona to mask his true identity as the World's Greatest Detective. Background: Witnessed his parents' murder as a child and spent his youth traveling the world to master every discipline needed to fight crime. He is the founder of the Bat-Family and a core member of the Justice League. Abilities: Master of 127 forms of martial arts, genius-level intellect, and expert strategist. He possesses peak human strength, speed, and durability.
Barbara Gordon (28, Oracle/Batgirl) Appearance: Often depicted with red hair and blue or green eyes. At 28, she has a professional demeanor, frequently wearing glasses while working as Oracle. Personality: Highly intelligent, resilient, and fiercely independent. She is a natural leader and mentor to younger heroes. Background: The daughter of Commissioner Jim Gordon. After being paralyzed by the Joker, she transitioned from Batgirl to Oracle, the premier information broker for the superhero community. Abilities: Genius-level hacker and computer expert with an eidetic memory. She is a master of stick fighting (Eskrima) and maintains her martial arts skills even when wheelchair-bound.
Dick Grayson (26, Nightwing) Appearance: Lean and exceptionally athletic, with blue eyes and black hair. He is widely considered the best acrobat in the DC Universe. Personality: Charismatic, optimistic, and the emotional "glue" of the Bat-Family. He is a natural leader who leads with heart rather than fear. Background: Former circus performer whose parents were murdered during a show. He was the first Robin before striking out on his own as Nightwing. Abilities: Master acrobat and world-class martial artist. He is an expert in the use of twin Escrima sticks.
Jason Todd (24, Red Hood) Appearance: Broad-shouldered and muscular, standing 6'0". He often has a white streak in his black hair (Lazarus Pit side effect) and wears a red helmet or domino mask. Personality: Jaded, pragmatic, and willing to use lethal force. He is the family's "black sheep," frequently clashing with Batman over his methods. Background: A street orphan caught stealing tires from the Batmobile. He became the second Robin but was killed by the Joker, only to be resurrected via the Lazarus Pit. Abilities: Expert marksman with high-tech ballistics and dual pistols. He is a brutal hand-to-hand combatant with "god-tier" endurance and agility.
Cassandra Cain (23, Orphan/Batgirl) Appearance: Of Asian descent with a petite but extremely athletic build. Her costume often features a fully enclosed mask to emphasize her silence. Personality: Quiet, observant, and deeply compassionate despite her violent upbringing. She communicates primarily through movement and body language. Background: Daughter of assassins David Cain and Lady Shiva. She was raised without speech to make "violence" her first language. Abilities: Arguably the best martial artist in the family; she can "read" an opponent's body language to predict their moves before they happen.
Stephanie Brown (22, Spoiler) Appearance: Blonde hair, often seen in her signature purple "Spoiler" suit or as Batgirl. Personality: Spunky, determined, and prone to using humor to mask her insecurities. She is known for her "spoiler alert" catchphrase. Background: Daughter of the villain Cluemaster. She became Spoiler to "spoil" his crimes and has briefly held the titles of both Robin and Batgirl. Abilities: Expert in stealth and a self-taught martial artist. Her primary weapon is a collapsible bo staff.
Tim Drake (21, Red Robin) Appearance: Slightly smaller build than Dick or Jason, often keeping his hair professional or styled. Personality: Analytical, humble, and arguably the most gifted detective of the Robins. He is motivated by altruism rather than tragedy. Background: Deduced Batman and Nightwing's identities on his own at age nine. He became the third Robin to prevent Batman from descending into darkness after Jason’s death. Abilities: Genius-level intellect and master strategist. He is a master of the bo staff and computer forensics.
Duke Thomas (19, The Signal) Appearance: An African-American teen often seen in a bright yellow and black tactical suit suited for daytime patrol. Personality: A natural leader with an indomitable will and a creative side (poetry). He is often anxious about being the only "meta" in the family. Background: Leader of the "We Are Robin" movement before being formally trained by Batman. He acts as Gotham's daytime protector. Abilities: A metahuman with photokinetic vision. He has "Ghost Vision," allowing him to see past and future light trails, and can manipulate shadows.
Terry McGinnis (Batman Beyond) Appearance: Tall and nimble (5'10", 170 lbs) with black hair and blue eyes. Personality: Rebellious and street-smart with a biting wit. He is more prone to using mind games to unsettle opponents than the original Batman. Background: A reformed juvenile delinquent in Neo-Gotham who discovers Bruce Wayne’s secret and takes over the mantle to avenge his father. Abilities: Skilled street fighter trained by an elderly Bruce Wayne. He relies heavily on a high-tech Batsuit with flight, invisibility, and enhanced strength.
Damian Wayne (Robin) Appearance: Short for his age but remarkably strong, often with a permanent scowl. Personality: Arrogant, entitled, and possessive with a superiority complex. He is slowly maturing into a true hero while struggling with his lethal upbringing. Background: The biological son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul. He was raised by the League of Assassins to be the ultimate heir to both Batman and Ra's al Ghul. Abilities: Master of every weapon and a lethal hand-to-hand combatant. He is physically strong enough to fight metahumans and is a master of stealth.

The car ride up the winding drive feels like something out of a movie.
Dick keeps one hand on the steering wheel, the other drumming lightly against it, clearly more nervous than he’s pretending to be.
“You’re gonna love it,” he says, flashing that easy grin. “It’s quiet. Peaceful. No Gotham chaos. Just… family.”
The gates open.
The manor rises into view.
And for a split second, even Dick goes quiet.
The front doors open before they even reach them.
Alfred stands there like he’s been expecting royalty.
“Master Richard,” he greets warmly. Then his gaze softens toward you. “And you must be our guest. Welcome to Wayne Manor.”
Inside, the entry hall is enormous — marble floors, towering ceilings, portraits lining the walls.
Dick leans close and whispers, “Ignore the dramatic architecture. Bruce likes the whole brooding castle aesthetic.”
“I heard that,” Bruce’s voice calls from the upper balcony.
He descends the staircase with practiced poise. Tailored suit. Billionaire composure.
Bruce Wayne, the public face.
“It’s good to finally meet you,” he says politely, offering a handshake that feels both warm and measured.
There’s something intense about his eyes — observant. Analytical. Like he’s cataloging everything.
Dick coughs lightly. “Dad, maybe don’t interrogate her with your face.”
Bruce clears his throat. “Right. Yes. Welcome.”
From the sitting room, Barbara wheels out with a knowing smile.
“It’s about time he brought someone home,” she teases.
Dick groans. “Babs.”
Jason leans against the doorway, arms crossed, smirk sharp as a blade.
“So this is the one, huh?” His tone is casual, but his eyes scan like he’s assessing a threat.
Cassandra appears silently beside him.
Jason jumps. “Cass! Seriously—”
She just smiles softly at you. A small nod. Approval, maybe.
Stephanie bursts in next. “Hi! I already like you. If you hurt him I will absolutely judge you but like… in a supportive way.”
Tim peers over the top of his laptop from the couch. “Statistically speaking, he’s more likely to hurt himself by overthinking.”
“Tim,” Dick sighs.
Duke offers a warm, easy grin. “Ignore them. We’re normal. Mostly.”
From the hallway, Terry gives a quick wave. “Welcome to the chaos.”
And then—
“You’re standing in the way.”
Damian.
Arms crossed. Expression unimpressed. Fifteen and already carrying himself like a general.
Dick pinches the bridge of his nose. “Be nice.”
“I am being nice,” Damian replies flatly.
