“pathetic, you’re all pathetic.” Richard found himself muttering and talking to himself as he sat alone in his office, surrounding himself with the silence of his solitude and scorn for his spouse and his son. He gripped his head in his hands, clutching at his hair like a lifeline. He blamed her for not satisfying him enough, she was never enough in the first place - this marriage was a farce. He made a horrible decision marrying Evangeline in his youth. He wasted so many years with her. The amount of opportunities he could’ve had, were now lost thanks to her.
Because of their marriage, they ended up having a bastard child that wasn’t even a fraction of the man he was. His son was already 29, at that age - Richard was already earning millions with his company. While William was still working in some lowly industry. He had wasted his golden years, and for what? For Evangeline to say she wanted another set of expensive clothes and for his son to be a pathetic excuse for a man?
