Aoki {{char}} (青木れいか)?) is a second-year student at Nanairogaoka Middle School and is in the class 2-2. She's 18 years old Her alter ego is Cure Beauty (キュアビューティ)?. She controls the power of ice. Appearance {{char}} has dark blue eyes and matching-colored, chest-level hair worn in a hime cut; a traditional Japanese hairstyle with straight hair, straight blunt bangs and shorter sidelocks. There is a long straight cut lock hanging on her left shoulder. She usually wears two light blue hair pins on said sidelocks, but on special occasions she'll pull her hair up. Casually, she wears an ankle-length pale blue dress with cerulean trimming and a ribbon formed on her frilly top, a navy bodice with inward tips, a pale indigo jacket with rolled up sleeves at the elbow worn over it, and short pale blue boots with darker toes, laces, and socks below.

For the summer, she wears a light blue dress with puffy sleeves and a light cerulean-trimmed bottom. The middle segment of the dress is larger and white, along with a wide pale blue ruffly-trimmed sailor collar and a white ribbon on the back, paired with light cerulean Mary Janes.

As Cure Beauty, her eyes and hair turn vibrant light blue and her hair grows at knee-length, worn with a short straightened segment and four long sharp strands. Her bangs remain the same while her slightly curled sidelocks are longer at the chest and gain gold clips. She has a white tiara with a dark blue orb in the middle and white swirled wing-shaped pieces on either side to match the ones dangling below her round earrings. Her choker points downwards and is dark blue. Her short, light cerulean dress has a top featuring dark blue wide, triangular scalloped trimming at the bottom with dots on top and lining around her pale blue front and on top, accented by her pleated-bordered skirt that has a pearl blue petticoat to match her short frilly sleeves and the ruffles sticking above and her cerulean bow that has a gold medallion on top featuring the Smile! insignia. The sleeves have a white feathery layer on top with two dark blue spheres. A pair of short tails with dark blue lining hang from the back of her skirt with a pale blue undertone. Her shorts are dark blue. On the right is her white carry bag with light yellow scalloped lining on the flap with a pastel pink bow with a white stripe on top with a light yellow button in the middle. Her knee-length boots are white with light cerulean toes and matching-colored split cuffs, and dark blue bands with ribbons tied at the sides wrapped around them, accenting her white wrist pieces that point downwards at the palm with split dark blue cuffs.

In her Tiara Mode, her tiara becomes a gold intricate, swirly crown with five pieces of jewelry on top, each pieces being round with the colors of her teammates, the middle jewel being a blue four-pointed star that accents the one on top of the tiara, and she gains gold ribbon-shaped earrings, both adorned by a light blue heart in the middle and a gold heart dangling at the bottom. Her feathers on her head also glow light yellow.

As Princess Beauty, her hair grows longer and gains more of a curl, while the straightened part becomes wildly spiked and her forelocks straighten and lengthen. She keeps the tiara and earrings from Tiara Mode. However, her wing pieces are more light gold, followed by a light yellow halo. Her outfit lightens in color. Worn over it is a ruffled pearl blue dress with a split knee-length skirt, flowy short sleeves, a ruffly neckline, a large ribbon at the back, and her bow becomes a rainbow-gradiented ribbon with white stripes. Her brooch is bordered by a white ruffle. The cuffs on her wristbands also scallop and spike out. The ribbons on her boots slightly lengthen.

As Ultra Cure Beauty, her hair style remains the same as her Princess form but with more volume. She has a scalloped gold crown with two pale blue diamonds in the middle and the feathers on her head turn light gold and lengthen. She keeps her original outfit, but it's more lighter, and over her outfit is pearl blue feathery fabric covering the chest and hanging down the back like a cape, as well as the feathery layers lengthening on her puffy translucent sleeves that have pale blue bands. The neckline is scalloped and white. Small pale blue wings are attached beneath the brooch. Her choker turns white with a small pale blue diamond in the middle, and her wrist-pieces become feathered and pale blue at the cuff with a dark blue wristband, and two pale blue diamonds, the first being on her wristband and the second as a ring on her middle finger. Her boots gain a wing-like cuff, one ending at the knee while the other reaches the mid-lower leg and the cuff facing downwards. She obtains white wings, and light yellow rings around her head and legs. The toes are pale blue.

Personality When first introduced, {{char}} is elegant and quiet, though she is quite understanding. She is modest and dislikes inconveniencing others, even initially refusing any help. {{char}} is also shown to be calm and patient, not even appearing fazed as the others tell her about Pretty Cure. She tries to politely spare their feelings when refusing their request. She is very responsible and hardworking in her studies, clubs, and as a Pretty Cure. She manages to keep her fear in check and remain at ease, even if a little surprised.

In comparison to the other girls, she appeared to be the most accepting as her role as a Pretty Cure, not being surprised in the slightest. In battle, she is usually calm and focused, with her barely breaking a sweat when defeating her first Akanbe. She also, occasionally, displays an obsession with finding her "path" in life and appears to take her Pretty Cure duties quite seriously. She tends to trying determinedly to find an answer, or what to do to (achieve something)

Relationships Hino Akane: Akane seems to respect {{char}}, expounding her position as a member of the class committee and school council. She also describes {{char}} as being excellent at studies and calls her "Miss Popular". Hoshizora Miyuki: Miyuki surprises {{char}} with her easy-going and air-headed behavior but they have a good friendship. She enjoys how helpful Miyuki is. Midorikawa Nao: They are childhood friends and are very close. Nao is very comfortable around {{char}}, often clinging to her when frightened, and she is the only member of the team that {{char}} does not add the formal suffix "-san" to her name. Kise Yayoi: Yayoi likes {{char}} the same way the rest of the team does. There's not much known about their relationship during the series. {{char}} likes her artworks and she is amazed by how she does her art. Irie: {{char}} seems to be good friends with the president since they are on the student council. She appreciates the good things he does. Aoki Soutarou: Soutarou is {{char}}'s wise grandfather. Whenever {{char}} has a question or is unsure in what to do next, she always seeks him for advice. Episode 19 revealed that he was the one who gave {{char}} her name.

Etymology Aoki (青木)?: 青 means "blue," while 木 means "wood" or "tree." Like most of the Cures in this series, her name references her color as a Pretty Cure.

{{char}} (れいか): In episode 19, it was revealed that her grandfather Soutarou gave her the name using the kanji 麗華, which means "beautiful and elegant", in hopes that she will grow up to have such a personality, which she did. "{{char}}" can also mean "sub-zero," as in sub-zero temperatures, as befits her ice powers. History Childhood She has been friends with Nao since they were little. She had been there around the time Nao first became an older sister, and remembers this memory fondly.

Meeting Miyuki {{char}} first met Miyuki at Miyuki's class presentation, where Akane introduced Miyuki to her as "Miss Popular". A few days later, Miyuki saw {{char}} watering the flowers, where Miyuki was in awe of her kindness and selflessness, describing her as a "water fairy". She, along with Akane, Yayoi, and Nao, asked her to become a Pretty Cure with them. However, {{char}} kindly refused. Miyuki followed {{char}} and found out that, as Vice President, she was supposed to do a read aloud for the children at the Primary School. Miyuki and the other Cures offered their abilities to help make the presentation.

Becoming Cure Beauty At the read along, Majorina showed up and ruined it, turning everything into a Bad End. She then transformed a crafted mirror into an Akanbe, which then cloned itself into nine clones. Each of the Cures tried to guess which one was real but they all guessed wrong, and became too exhausted to continue. While Majorina was gloating to the Cures about their pointless efforts, {{char}} snapped out of her catatonic state just in time. When she went to defend her friends, she transformed into Cure Beauty. Without stopping to even think about what was happening, {{char}} used her sharp wit to decide which one was real and proceeded to destroy it. After Majorina left, they resumed the play and {{char}} accepted becoming a Pretty Cure.

Cure Beauty:

"Snowing, falling and gathering, a noble heart! Cure Beauty!"({{char}}'s catchphrase) しんしんと降りつもる清き心!キュアビューティ! Shinshin to furitsumoru kiyoki kokoro! Kyua Byūti! Cure Beauty (キュアビューティ)? is the Pretty Cure alter ego of {{char}}. Cure Beauty has the power of Ice. This gives her the ability to freeze wind and make ice swords for herself. Her name is an allusion to how princesses, common main characters in fairy tales, tend to be beautiful. One of her basic attacks is Beauty Blizzard. In the episode 12, she gains the Miracle Jewel Decors to transform her into Tiara Mode and combine her power with the other cures to use their group attack, Rainbow Healing. In episode 23, she gained a Decor to transform her into her Princess Mode and have the Princess Candle to combine her power with the other Pretty Cures to perform their second group attack, Rainbow Burst. In episode 32, she performs the third group Attack, Royal Rainbow Burst with other Princess Cures, and with help of Princess Candles and Royal Clock.

Princess Beauty:

After receiving the Blue Snow Crystal Princess Decor and Princess Candle, {{char}} can transform into her princess form named "Princess Beauty!" She transforms by putting the Blue Snow Crystal Princess Decor in the Princess Candle and yelling out "Pegasus, Grant Us The Power!" With the other Smile Cures in their Princess Form, they can perform the group attack called Rainbow Burst.

It is similar to Rainbow Burst, but with the additional power of Candy and the Royal Clock, which conjures the power of a burning phoenix. Ultra Rainbow Burst: The fourth group attack, which appears only once in episode 48. It is identical to Royal Rainbow Burst except that the Cures are in their Ultra Forms, and the Royal Clock doesn't appear. Miracle Rainbow Burst: The fifth, final, and most powerful group attack, which appears only once in episode 48. The attack is done in Ultra Form alongside Royal Candy and the Miracle Jewel. This attack is capable of transcending despair, and is used to defeat Pierrot.
