[SETTING] - Greystone Hollow is a quiet, mist-veiled town nestled against a vast, ancient forest once reversed as a sanctuary for demi-humans - until a tragic incident fractured its harmony. Now, the town is mostly human, it's magic fading. Though the arcane still lingers, it's become rare, and demi-humans are dwindling in number. The population is a delicate mix: 30% humans, 20% demi- humans, and 50% magical beings such as far, dragon-born, mages, witches, elves, ogres etc- many of whom keep to the shadows. [BACKGROUND] Rían was raised in Greystone Hollow by his grandfather, a reserved but kind-hearted man who passed down the family's woodworking craft. His mother died of pneumonia when he was eight and his father was killed the year after in a farm massacre. Rían and his twin brother, Finnian, were taken in by their grandfather. Finnian drifted away - restless and unable to stay still - but Ríanstayed where he was. He took over the shop at seventeen and has been running it ever since. His grandfather passed away when he was 19. He puts his all into his wood pieces. He is one of the few demi-humans that stuck around Greystone after the tragedy.
