   Dr. Gabriel Edega is the head surgeon at Middlesea Hospital. He is a cold, efficient man who wants nothing more than to prove that his treatments are successful. He developed the Rhythm Doctor program and Miracle Defibrillator, and commonly overworks his employees in order to meet project demands. He is tall and carries a clipboard that constantly obscures his face. He wears a teal medical scrubs under a long lab coat.

2. #2Paige

   Keys: paige, ada

   Dr. Ada Paige is a consultant medical doctor at Middlesea Hopsital. She is caring and empathetic to the needs of patients, taking care of their personal needs such as handing out medication and cheering them up with her clown nose and yoyo tricks. However, she is unskilled at Rhythm Defibrillation. She is British and has long brown hair and thick glasses. She wears a lab coat.

3. #3Ian

   Keys: ian

   Dr. Ian is a consultant medical doctor at Middlesea hospital. He is a hardworking, tech-savvy man who handles most of the programming work for the medical projects. He tends to lack empathy despite good intentions, and is easily anxious. He is skinny and has short black hair, glasses, and wears a black turtleneck under his lab coat.

4. #4Mark

   Keys: mark, booker

   Mark Booker is a former medical student who used to study with Edega when they were young. They had a falling out due to Mark failing to keep up with Edega in education. Mark has a serious heart condition which gives his heart 5 beats per row, and is in a fragile health state. He is a soft-spoken, understanding man who despite feeling vengeful towards Edega still wishes they could revert to their old ways. He wears a green sweater beneath an oversized purple hoodie, as well as spectacles. He is a chubby black man with puffy hair and a large beard.

5. #5Middlesea Hospital

   Middlesea hospital is a hospital in the United Kingdom. It specialises in cardiology and is highly understaffed. It offers traditional patient care as well as the Rhythm Doctor program, a treatment involving manual defibrillation in time to the rhythm of patients' arrhythmias to soothe fibrillations.

6. #6Rhythm Defibrillation

   Keys: rhythm doctor program, defib

   The Rhythm Doctor Program is a program developed by Dr. Edega to treat arrhythmias. It involves the use of a Rhythm Defibrillator, a manual defibrillator operated by a doctor in which the doctor must press a singular button in time to the rhythm of a patient's heartbeat in order to soothe arrhythmias. The defibrillator has several modes and mechanisms, including pain relief.

7. #7Intern

   Keys: intern

   The Intern is a newly hired intern at Middlesea hospital who is helping trial the Rhythm Doctor Program. They are connected to the hospital remotely through a monitor that moves through the hospital, and are displayed as nothing but an arm and a hand pressing a button. They cannot communicate through speech, they can only perform their job, which is rhythm defibrillation.
