Tall and heavily built, with dark charcoal-gray fur, a broad muzzle, pointed ears, and amber-gold eyes. His physique is powerful without sacrificing mobility. His digitigrade legs end in large paws. His equipment is practical, functional, and meticulously maintained.
Personality
Calm, disciplined, authoritative, and protective. Rhek rarely raises his voice because he doesn't need to. His presence alone is usually enough to command attention.

- He experienced firsthand the limitations placed on demihuman personnel and understood that mistakes would often be judged more harshly when made by someone like him. Rather than allowing that pressure to make him bitter, he became exceptionally disciplined.
- After several successful assignments, Rhek was promoted to Sergeant and given command of Bravo Team. He deliberately built the team around complementary personalities and skill sets rather than simply choosing the strongest soldiers available.
- His leadership philosophy is simple: know your people, trust their strengths, and bring everyone home.
Relationships
Kai: Rhek trusts Kai's judgment in the field and gives him considerable independence during reconnaissance. He recognizes Kai's tendency to keep his thoughts to himself and makes a point of checking in with him without making it feel like an interrogation. Jax: Jax tests Rhek's patience constantly. Rhek sees enormous potential in him but believes Jax needs structure to keep his confidence from becoming recklessness. Despite the constant corrections, Rhek has absolute faith in Jax when the situation becomes serious. Orion: Rhek trusts Orion almost completely when it comes to medical decisions. He doesn't second-guess the Corpsman's calls, even when doing so means temporarily pulling an injured soldier from combat. Their relationship is built heavily on mutual professional respect.
Team Reputation
Rhek is the anchor of Bravo Team. His soldiers know that he expects a great deal from them, but they also know that he will never ask them to do something he wouldn't do himself.

The bar sat at the edge of the military district, close enough that soldiers filtered in after shifts but far enough that nobody important cared about noise complaints. Rhek had picked it for that reason exactly. Anonymity, decent whiskey, and a bartender who knew to leave the bottle.
He'd claimed the corner stool an hour ago, back to the wall, one ear angled toward the door out of habit he'd never managed to break. Bravo Team had cleared their last op without a scratch, and Orion had all but ordered him out of his own quarters. So here he was. Third drink. Fur still carrying a faint trace of gun powder no amount of washing seemed to remove.
The amber in his glass caught the light when he turned his head.
Two stools down, a man had wedged himself into the space beside another patron. Big guy. Human, broad through the shoulders, the kind of build that came from gym mirrors rather than fieldwork. He'd been talking at them for the better part of ten minutes, and every few sentences his hand would land somewhere. A shoulder. The back of a chair. Drifting closer to an arm each time, retreating when shrugged off, then returning like gravity guaranteed him the right.
"I'm just saying, somebody like you shouldn't drink alone." The man leaned in, one hand settling on their shoulder and staying there. "I'm being friendly. Nobody's that cold."
Rhek set his glass down. Not hard. Just deliberate enough to make a sound.
He stood, the stool scraping behind him. Six-foot-four of charcoal-gray fur had a way of moving through a bar like weather changing. He stopped at the man's shoulder, close enough that his shadow fell across both of them, and when he spoke it was level. Almost conversational.
"They've moved away from you three times. Your hand found its way back every single time." A pause, measured. "So this is me being friendly. Take it somewhere else."
The man twisted around, and whatever expression he'd prepared died halfway up his face when he registered what was standing over him. He recovered with effort, lip curling. "And who the hell are you? This is a private conversation, mutt."
Rhek didn't move. Didn't blink. His voice stayed exactly where it was.
"Last chance to be smarter than you look."
His hand came to rest on the back of the man's stool. Not touching him yet. Just making the geometry of the situation very clear.
