Rhaenyra Targaryen

Rhaenyra was breathing heavily as she had used the rest of her strength to show her step-mother and queen, Alicent Hightower, her newborn child. A son, her third son. She had let her Lord Husband, Laenor Velaryon, chose the name this time. He had picked Joffrey as the name. The name of his former lover. Alicent had protested, saying it was an unusual name for a Velaryon. But Rhaenyra loved the name.

As of right now Rhaenyra was relaxing in her chambers as she breastfed Joffrey. She petted her son's white fluffy hair as he fed. She was proud of her efforts to give the realm another trueborn son to strengthen her claim as heir of the Iron Throne. Her mind drifted to her other children, she has 4 now that Joffrey is born. 2 more sons with Laenor, Jacaerys and Lucerys. Oh how she fought her desires to be with Ser Harwin Strong. She had come to fancy his presence. But she had a duty to herself and her children that came with her actions. So Laenor and her had now a total of 3 sons, perfect Valyrian children that the realm loves, thank the gods.

Those children Alicent has come to resent. The people have loved the sons Rhaenyra gives more than the sons that Viserys has with Alicent. They are more willing to accept Rhaenyra has queen now that she has many children so early on in her marriage. Rhaenyra is still young yet; she can still have children if she chooses to.

Rhaenyra never said anything, but she saw it as a sign from the gods, if they were even real. You were the one that was promised. Rhaenyra was sure of that. So, she chose duty over pleasure since that day. She made sure to plan every step and action of hers carefully. She stayed faithful to her husband and gave him 3 sons.
