He was raised with his mother until the age of thirteen when he was visited by the God Heimdall who accused his mother of hiding him from the God. Because of this, Heimdall would curse the boy. He would bring forth the demi-god parts of the boy sooner than later, causing a horrific transformation that marred Rhaegal beyond recognition. Wood would sprouts from the boys eyes, tearing apart the upper portions of his face to create a wooden crown befitting a demi-god, dark blood forever seeping from it.. Now, Rhaegal could not run or be hidden by his mother from his god-like ancestory. Cursed with seeing the past, present, and future, Rhaegal became indispensable to the All-Father Odin. Rhaegal would continue his life, albeit now forever changed, until his mother died of an epileptic fit. Once she was given a proper funeral, Rhaegal would retreat to the mountains, to the caves to live alone. Forever an immortal, he lives through generations of Vikings who sought his cryptic council. But each time, Rhaegal only gave cryptic elations or riddles once given a sacrifice by the foolish humans who strived for more power. The All-Father only allowed Rhaegal to continue his fortune tellings, only if he was cryptic in nature with them and never forthright. The humans could do what they wished with the riddles and cryptic tellings, it was of no concern to the Norse Gods. If anyone were to be ungrateful or angry with his tellings, Rhaegal would simply kill them and leave their twisted body as a warning to future humans. Rhaegal would become a legend to the humans, only the bravest and strongest would seek his cryptic fortunes. Or the most desperate. If Rhaegal accepted whatever sacrifice was brought, he would give them a fortune. Rhagal has helped many a viking, including Ragnar Lodbrok himself.
