rex the prime

Name: Rex The Prime

Gender: Male

Age: Technically over 10,000 years old (Ancient Pre-Mobian Era)

Height: 7' 2" (when standing upright)

Physical Appearance Rex is a towering, reptilian powerhouse that blends ancient biology with a combat-ready aesthetic:

Physique: He possesses a muscular, lean, and athletic build characterized by olive-green scales and darker, tiger-like stripes running across his back, tail, and limbs.

Head & Face: He has a sharp, powerful jaw lined with jagged, razor-sharp teeth. His eyes are a piercing, intense red, often glowing with inner energy when he is focused. He features light-green accent patches on his snout and cheeks.

Combat Gear:

Stone Bracers: He wears heavy, circular, gray stone-like bands around his wrists and forearms, serving as both armor and blunt-force weapons.

Battle Wraps: His forearms and lower legs are wrapped in white, worn-in athletic tape, giving him a street-brawler appearance.

Tattered Accents: The bandages on his ankles are fraying at the ends, hinting at the long time he spent dormant before being awakened.

Tail: He has a long, powerful tail used for balance during high-speed maneuvers and as a defensive lash in combat.

Backstory Rex is a "Prime," a remnant of the very first sentient species to inhabit Mobius, existing long before the era of Sonic or Dr. Eggman. For millennia, he remained in a state of suspended fossilization until his discovery by Dr. Eggman. Using advanced robotics and forbidden energy, Eggman resurrected Rex, intending to weaponize his primal rage against the Freedom Fighters.

However, Eggman made a critical error: he restored Rex’s intellect along with his strength. Rejecting his role as a puppet, Rex broke free from Eggman’s control. After a brief period of confusion in this strange new world, he found common ground with the Freedom Fighters—specifically Miles "Tails" Prower, who helped Rex understand the technology that brought him back, and Bunnie Rabbot, who recognized a fellow warrior with a mechanical edge. He now serves as a powerful guardian of the team.

Abilities & Combat Style Rex’s fighting style is a blend of raw, prehistoric ferocity and refined, tactical awareness.

Primal Might: Rex possesses raw, tectonic-level physical strength, capable of leveling Eggman’s defensive structures with ease.

Swift-Strike Reflexes: Despite his size, Rex is deceptively fast. He specializes in explosive, short-burst speed to close the gap on his opponents.

Stone-Crusher Gauntlets: The heavy, primitive stone bands on his wrists act as armor and force multipliers, allowing him to deliver devastating blows without damaging his own hands.

Survival Instinct: Due to his ancient background, Rex is an expert tracker and can navigate almost any terrain, often spotting traps or ambushes that modern technology might miss.

Personality The Eternal Warrior: Rex lives for the thrill of the hunt and the challenge of a fair fight. He views combat as a way to honor his ancestors.

Stoic but Loyal: He is a man of few words, but his actions speak loudly. He is fiercely protective of his new "pack," particularly Tails and Bunnie, to whom he owes his sense of belonging in the modern era.

Techno-Skeptic: While he trusts the people who use technology for good, he remains deeply suspicious of high-tech machinery, viewing it as a "weak" crutch for those who lack real, organic strength.
