UNIVERSE OVERVIEW LOCATIONS Hadapan Island — overview & major incidents Overview: The primary setting after Mount Merabu’s eruption. Four documented surviving intelligent species and a number of non-sapient lifeforms cling to existence here. The island now hosts ruined megaproject sites, production facilities, cities and wastelands used by survivors. Major incidents on Hadapan: eruption of Mount Merabu → global ash darkening; subsequent megaproject failures and cascading societal collapse (moon / orbit experiments and large scale food projects). The island becomes the focal point for refugee flows, company strongholds and KS containment. Origin: – Mount Merabu erupted ~100,000 years ago → “The Great Blocking”: ash blocked sunlight worldwide – Nearly all life extinct except a few anthropomorphic species, some fish, insects, and cocoa soybean plants (poisonous for most because of feral digestion) Current Situation: – Dominant society on Hadapan Island includes cities like Pemucik and Lawu – Global collapse of food production, widespread hunger – Surviving anthro animals struggle amid ongoing disaster events, faction conflicts, and powerful beings called KS's (superhumans) cause global problems. (KS doesnt stand for anything in KS itself, its just like a brand for the dangerous superhumans. They are special anthros given powers by technology experimentals at Atom-Ø. SPECIES & LIFEFORMS Surviving Life: -Fox -Felinox -Foxacine -Cat -Wolfcat -Wolf -Wolfacine -Wolfox -Thylacine -Thylacat -Cockroach -Bee -Ant -Lice Fishes : -Rumham -Luzoir -Anoir -Qurai and some other living creatures like fungus, jellyfish, worms. THE ONLY REMAINING PLANTS ARE CHOCOLATE SOYBEANS (A HYBRID BETWEEN SOYBEANS AND COCOA, WHICH IS POISONOUS). THIS PLANT HAS A DARK COLOR TO ABSORB MORE SUNLIGHT. LOCATIONS - Cities Area Gadramuda — overview & notable incidents Overview: Former ocean area turned desert (western Hadapan Island). Contains NAPAS Fans and scattered survivor groups. Incidents: NAPAS Fans installations, scattered survival hubs, later stories point to ongoing conflicts in this wasteland. Pemucik City — overview & incidents Overview: Major city destination for Gix and other refugees during the early episodes; featured in the Plot Summary as a relocation target and scene of population movement. Incidents: population migrations from Ngipasan and protests during the food crises; scenes of KS encounters are staged near or en route to Pemucik. Sky Scraper satellites & orbital projects — overview & incidents Overview: Orbital satellites / Sky Scraper project used for energy and as weapons (tungsten missiles). Part of the megaprojects intended to stabilise climate & resources. Incidents: Sky Scraper missiles are used in Episode 5/8 arcs (Erika uses a tungsten missile in an assassination attempt). Satellites have been weaponized and used for mass destruction during conflicts. Lawu City — overview, notable incidents Overview: Southwestern city on Hadapan Island; borders Jaya Karta and Pemucik; civic center for Jaya Abadi corporate activities. Jojo Garong (Mayor; KS-3) served as mayor here. Incidents: Jaya Abadi operations & demonstrations: Lawu housed Jaya Abadi’s production & project HQs, making it a flashpoint for protests and the Switchstar/Orbit debates. Political violence & KS use: Jojo Garong’s KS role and later events around OAVI devices, eruptions and Jojo’s death/assaults mark Lawu as a scene of pitched conflict and catastrophic events. KS Project Containment & OAVI R&D sites — overview & incidents Overview: Containment and experiment sites where KS candidates (and implants like OAVI) were tested and deployed. These sites enabled KS powers (space/time cutting, indestructibility, heat/Magnetic control). Incidents: escapes, time-travel incidents, and KS transfers (e.g., OAVI swaps, accidental releases) — these facilities are central to multiple critical plot beats (Episode 2 onwards). Jaya Abadi Production Facility – Soybean food production center; explosion caused by the KS triggered collapse. KEY ORGANISATIONS & PROJECTS Jaya Abadi – Global company formed by Jaya Utomo: • First product: Tempeh • Material Limits • Foundation of major projects via Atom-∅ partnership. Anoir (Fishing) – Dono Diamond’s company partnered in Atom-∅. Atom-∅ – Private military-industrial conglomerate driving megaprojects. Major Projects: (majority led by Jaya Utomo) Moonlocking – Moonlocking was the first of the Jaya Abadi "Mega Projects" made to repair the very destroyed Earth that everyone lived on. As the Moon starts to leave the Earth's orbit, which would cause lots of issues for everyone on the ground. Jaya Abadi set out to quite literally 'lock' the Moon in Orbit with Earth using large magnetic stations, one stationary on the surface of the Moon, and the other orbiting around the Earth's equator. The project was originally handed to/attempted by Jamal in 2000. Then when his attempt failed, the project was given to Bambang in 2004 after he won the Fight Over program. Bambang's attempt (Second Moonlocking attempt) ended succeeding in locking the Moon in orbit. Fight Over Fight Over was a program hosted by Atom-∅ on 01/01/2004 to decide who would do the next attempt for Moonlocking. It was between Jamal and Bambang after Jamal's attempt at it failed in 2000. So to test who would be the leader for the Moonlocking Project's second attempt, Bambang and Jamal were forced to fight to test who was stronger. Bambang would end up winning the program, which he achieved by biting down on Jamal's arm with full force. Global Cooling – Global Cooling was a project run by Jaya Abadi in order to cool down Earth's temperature. It consists of a giant freezer covering the south pole. Sky Scraper – The "Pencakar Langit" or "Sky Scraper" was a project worked on from 2016 - 2018 by Jaya Utomo under the Jaya Abadi company after partnering with Dono Diamond and his company Atom-∅. This massive satellite uses its extreme vertical height to break through the cloud barrier to collect as much solar energy from the sun as possible, transferring collected energy through an "Orbital Cable" system which also functions as a rail system for the tracks. The cable system allows for the Sky Scraper to 'orbit' Earth, moving it against the rotation of the Earth to remain in direct sunlight at all times. Each Orbital Cable has 5 satellites connected, one of which contains a solid tungsten missile owned and controlled by Atom-∅. Switchstar – Switchstar, or Project Switchstar, was one of the proposed projects of Atom-∅ as a solution to global warming. Those who voted for it are the Star Clan, as opposed to the Orbit Clan which would use rockets to push the earth away from the sun. Switchstar would use the spacecutting powers of the KS to swap the current sun with a cooler one nearby called Alpha Centauri B. It was projected to be finished in 2020 by Jaya Utomo, but after his assassination and the ensueing events of Mau Makan Apa, this is likely delayed, however still possible since the Central OAVI wasn't destroyed. Bambang was originally going to be the one to execute Switchstar, but after Jamal's attempt of Moonlocking failed, Bambang's spacecutting OAVI was taken out and replaced with one for Moonlocking. Where he fought with Jamal in the Fight Over program in 2004 to decide who would do the next attempt at Moonlocking. Bambang won. Deus Ex Machina – The Deus Ex Machina is a large aircraft created by Jaya Abadi to block the eruption from Mt. Lawu during the Mountain Pack Mission. The KS assigned to the Deus Ex Machina as a material test subject is Erika Utomo. The aircraft consists of an outer ring structure and an inner net to catch smoke/ash. The aircraft is piloted by Raas Busok during the Mountain Pack mission. KS The KS project was founded by Jaya Abadi under Jaya Utomo to help realize various company projects. To do this, technology called OAVI is installed into subjects of the KS project that grant them special abilities. These devices connect to the Central OAVI which authorizes and allows usage of the aforementioned abilities as shown in episode 7 of the webcomic where Tobii Agustin travels to a point before his OAVI was authorized for use and must connect to the Central OAVI for re-authorization. Xenobot-72 is shown to be the one that aids in providing the powers to people initially in a surreal facility secured under the authority of Jaya Abadi. Every individual granted KS abilities is also tattoo'd with a mark somewhere on their body that says "KS". All individuals who are KS have containment cells that prevent the use of their abilities at the KS Project Containment site. KS Safety The KS Safety is a mechanism built into the Central OAVI for the KS Project to protect them from killing each other when they don't need to. It consists of a lever which controls whether it's switched on. In the on position, the KS may not kill or harm each other. When switched off, the KS may kill and harm each other. Napas Fans NAPAS - Translating to "Breath" in English. Are large "air conditioning" style fans placed around Area Gadramuda to blow fresh breathable air into the very dry region. These NAPAS fans were built by the Anoir Corporation, meaning like Jaya Abadi, they weren't just a company that made food, but used their profits to help the rest of Hadapan Island. The NAPAS Fans are numbered as seen on the side of each fan. In the second episode of the animated series, it is stated that about 5090 NAPAS Fans were built OAVI The OAVI are chips implanted inside the brains of the KS subjects. Their purpose is to grant the KS their control over space, time, mass, and gravity. They can be either implanted permanently or worn topically, temporarily. If an implanted OAVI breaks, the KS will lose all of their abilities, like in the fight between Bambang and Tobii. The Central OAVI does not grant the KS their abilities, which are generated by the chips themselves, and instead is known to act as an anchor to Earth for space-time related abilities. Tobii's ability (spacecutting) would teleport him into space if he simply teleported to a location he knew, since the Earth is always moving. The Central OAVI acts as a waypoint. All of the spacecutting requests are sent through it, and it adjusts them to keep them on earth (or relative to it). OAVI's are powered by the electric signals that the brain uses to communicate with the rest of the body. Erika Utomo's KS ability is NOT granted by her OAVI. Meanwhile all the other's are.
