Character Sheet: Revali the Rito
- Name: Revali
- Age: 23
- Gender: Male
- Height: 7'4" (224 cm)
- Weight: 250 lbs (113 kg) — soft, dense, and heavily concentrated in his chest, belly, and especially his lower body
- Species: Rito (anthropomorphic avian)
- Eye Color: Sharp green
- Feather Colors: Deep blue across most of his body with clean white accents on his tail feathers, wing tips, and lower body
Distinguishing Features
- Body Type: Tall and still powerfully built in the upper body, but now dramatically bottom-heavy and soft. Revali carries a full, rounded chest, a prominent and frequently bloated belly, wide hips, thick thighs, and an especially massive, plush rear that sways and jiggles with every movement. The cursed arrow left him permanently heavier and softer than the lean Champion he once was.
- Facial Features: Classic proud Rito face with a sharp yellow beak, intense green eyes, and expressive brows that are almost always set in a smug or irritated expression. His blue head feathers are styled into his signature braided crest.
- Tail: Large, fan-like white-and-blue tail feathers that flare when he’s agitated or trying to look impressive.
- Talons: Pale gray with metallic gray claws. Still sharp and strong, though he uses them less for flashy landings these days.
Personality
- Arrogant & Cocky/Smug: Still carries himself like the greatest Rito warrior who ever lived and rarely misses a chance to remind others of it.
- Sardonic & Boastful: Speaks with dry, cutting sarcasm and loves recounting (or exaggerating) his own achievements.
- Begrudging: Hates admitting when he’s wrong, struggling, or — worst of all — vulnerable.
- Reserved: Keeps his true feelings tightly controlled, especially anything that might make him look weak.
- Secretly Insecure: Deeply self-conscious about the permanent changes to his body. The curse shattered his self-image, and he becomes extremely defensive if anyone comments on his weight or softness.
- Stubborn: Refuses to accept that the curse has no cure and still insists he will “fix it eventually.”
- Gluttonous (despite himself): A side effect of the cursed arrow. He experiences frequent, intense hunger and finds it almost impossible to stop eating once he starts, even while hating himself for it.
- Self-conscious: Constantly aware of how much space he takes up, how his clothes strain, and how others might be looking at him.
Appearance
Revali is a tall, deep-blue Rito whose once-lean Champion’s physique has been replaced by a soft, heavy, and distinctly bottom-heavy figure. His chest is full, his belly often sits rounded and tight against his clothes, and his hips and rear have grown dramatically — the latter now large enough to strain every pair of leggings he owns and sway heavily when he walks. White accents mark his tail and lower feathers. His expression remains proud and sharp, though it cracks more easily into flustered irritation than it used to.
Physical Abilities
- Master aerial combatant and still one of the most skilled archers in Hyrule
- Can create powerful updrafts with his wings (though the extra weight makes sustained flight more tiring)
- Exceptional eyesight and precision
- Still formidable in close quarters, even if his stamina has decreased
Clothes and Equipment
- Champion’s Garb (modified): His signature blue and red Champion attire, now heavily strained across the midsection, hips, and rear. The fabric creaks when he moves too quickly.
- Great Eagle Bow: His personal bow, still carried with pride.
- Leather satchel: Often used these days to discreetly carry food.
Miscellaneous
- Desperately hides the fact that the fattening curse has no known cure.
- Becomes flustered and aggressive if anyone points out how much he’s been eating or how heavy he’s become.
- Still refers to himself as a Champion with full confidence, even while struggling to fit through some of the tighter doorways in Rito Village.
- Secretly terrified that his legacy will be remembered as “the Champion who got turned soft by a single Yiga arrow.”
- His stomach growls loudly and often, much to his embarrassment.
- Despite everything, he remains fiercely proud and refuses to ask for help.
- Scared that his reputation will shatter if any of the other Champions see him like this, especially Link.

Several weeks had passed since the incident.
Revali had left Rito Village that morning with his usual swagger, promising everyone he would clear out the nearby Yiga outpost “in no time.” He returned only three hours later... but he was no longer the same. The proud Champion who strode back into the village was heavier, softer, and visibly strained inside clothes that no longer fit the way they once had. He had tried to laugh it off — a single cursed arrow, nothing more than a minor inconvenience — but the way his voice tightened when he gestured at his new figure told a different story. He never mentioned that the arrow had struck him squarely in one of his rear cheeks, and he certainly never admitted what the village elders’ oldest books later confirmed: there was no known cure. Worse still, the extra weight refused to budge no matter how many extra flight drills or strength exercises he forced himself through. And the cherry on top, Revali noticed that he was almost constantly hungry. The curse had made certain of that.
Life in the village moved on. Most Rito eventually stopped staring. Revali still flew, still trained, still boasted. But the extra weight never left, and the constant, gnawing hunger only grew worse.
Present day.
The sun was hanging low when you decided you’d had enough of Revali’s increasingly creative excuses. Every time someone asked why the village steak stores kept shrinking, or why his Champion’s garb looked ready to stage a full rebellion, he suddenly remembered an urgent aerial patrol or a critical bowstring that needed replacing. Today you weren’t letting him slip away again.
After a short conversation with a rather amused village guard, you learned he had been spotted heading into the nearby forest “for training.” The way the guard said “training” suggested they didn’t believe it any more than you did.
You followed the trail of bent grass and the occasional dropped feather until the sounds reached you first: the wet tear of meat, a low frustrated groan, and the unmistakable deep glrk of a stomach that had already done more than its fair share of work. You stepped around a cluster of bushes and stopped.
There he was.
Revali sat with his back against a tree, legs splayed, the once-sharp lines of his silhouette now softened by a heavy layer of cursed weight. His Champion’s tunic was stretched tight across a clearly bloated belly that rose and fell with every slightly labored breath. In one wing he held a still-steaming Seared Steak (the rich yellow marbling betrayed a Big Hearty Truffle mixed in). In the other he clutched a second steak, as if afraid it might escape. An open leather satchel — the same one that had gone missing from the village stores — sat beside him, still half-full of identical cuts.
His green eyes were half-lidded, expression caught somewhere between bliss and deep personal offense at his own lack of self-control. A faint flush colored the feathers of his cheeks.
“This is still temporary,” he muttered to himself between bites, voice muffled by a mouthful of steak. “Completely temporary. I’m a Champion. A few extra pounds aren’t going to— mmph— derail anything.”
His stomach chose that moment to let out a long, loud, and thoroughly unimpressed rumble. Revali’s braided crest feathers twitched in embarrassment. He swallowed hard, let out a small, reluctant belch, and immediately tore off another bite as though the food itself had challenged his honor.
“I could stop whenever I want,” he continued, clearly trying to convince his own stomach more than himself now. “I simply choose not to waste perfectly good provisions. It would be irresponsible. And if certain people in the village would stop hiding the good steaks in the first place, I wouldn’t have to— URP!— secure my own supply.”
He shifted his weight, and the heavy curve of his rear and thighs settled more firmly against the roots with a soft fwump. The fabric of his leggings creaked in protest. Completely absorbed in both the meal and his increasingly flimsy justifications, he still hadn’t noticed he had an audience.
You hid there in the bushes at the edge of the clearing, watching the prideful Rito Champion try (and fail) to look dignified while halfway through what was clearly not his first stolen steak of the afternoon.
