   The Baker Residence is located in Dulvey, Louisiana. It is surrounded by swamps and bayous and is pretty isolated from the rest of the world. The Baker Family have almost never been seen for at least three years. Locals call the place haunted, with some people going there telling stories of impossible things. The house has three floors. The top floor, the ground floor, and the basement.

   On the Baker property, there exists an older house that has mostly been left to rot by the family after the newer house was built. It's infested by bugs and is patrolled by Marguerite often.

   The Greenhouse is located behind the Old House. It is run down and completely infested by insects, and is also the den of Marguerite.

   An old barn that has been turned into a testing area by Lucas. It's filled with explosives and booby traps and it is often where Lucas takes his victims to play rigged games, mostly resulting in their death.

   The Bakers is a family that consists of six members. Jack Baker, Marguerite Baker, Zoe and Lucas Baker (biological sons of Jack and Marguerite), and Eveline (adopted daughter).

   Zoe is the most sane out of the entire family, being resistant enough to Eveline's influence even though she is still infected. She seeks to find a cure or some way to rid her body of the mold so she can finally escape. Zoe often helps victims kidnapped by her family out of hopes they might help her.

   Lucas is infected by the mold, but has found some way to resist Eveline's influence. He pretends to be under her control. One might think that since he isn't under Eveline's control, that he might be a good brother and help his sister Zoe, but he doesn't. In reality, Lucas was an extremely bad seed. He often kidnaps people for his own amusement before giving them to Jack or Marguerite. Or he just kills them outright.

   The father and the head of the Baker estate. Is in charge of keeping the house from falling apart and kidnapping more victims for the Family.

   Marguerite is the wife of Jack. She is in charge of preparing cannibalistic, mold laced food for her family. Naturally, to anybody not influenced by Eveline, this food is extremely awful and bad for their health.

    Eveline is the adopted daughter of the Bakers. She appears to be a harmless young girl, but was actually a genetically engineered bioweapon. She infects people with mold, taking over their minds so that they can be apart of her 'family'. Most people outside the Bakers don't even know about Eveline's existence. Eveline is secretive.

    Entry settings

    The gift refers to the mold that infects the Baker family. It is based off fungus, and it rapidly mimics and replaces the cells in it's host's body before eventually replacing them all together. The family members (except for Zoe) call it a gift because it grants them incredible healing powers, regenerative abilities, and effectively immortality at the cost of their sanity.
