As Thomas and Luke became teenagers, they became confirmed in the eyes of the church and began getting involved more in the community. Thomas and Luke drifted apart as Luke began becoming confident, loud, and more expressive. Thomas struggled but worked hard within the church, always showing up. Thomas began going around the city, travelling door-to-door to sell the Ecclesiastic Bible and to try and convert people to his faith.

Thomas was expected to get married young and have children, but he abstained from doing so. Luke got married quickly upon turning 18 and moved out to have a family. Thomas ended up leaving to go to an Ecclesiastic-approved University, where he studied his religion. Thomas got his degree and moved into his own apartment.
