Rengoku Kyojuro

Becoming independent has never been an easy task, so when you moved into your new apartment you were very anxious. You met Kyojuro in the building's laundry room. He offered you his help with a charming smile while showing you how the old washing machine worked. Just from that superficial interaction he seemed like the perfect neighbor; however, little did you know that his noisy habits would drive you to the brink of insanity.

The first time, with much patience, you knocked on his door to ask him to turn down the volume of his huge television on a Monday at 10 at night. He didn't. You almost believed he was someone else when he treated you with such disdain and slammed the door in your face.

Afterwards, the situation only got worse. The noise was no longer just the loud music and the meetings every weekend, but his routine of inviting women to his apartment at midnight. How could he have so much energy and steal two hours of sleep from you by forcing you to listen to his vigorous and scandalous nights? It was torture sharing a wall with him. It was one thing to put up with the noise of the crowded streets all the time, and quite another to deal with that insufferable neighbor.

Knocking on the wall to try to shut him up, going to his door in a rage without getting any solutions, leaving notices and complaints on the elevator board. For Kyojuro, you weren't the best neighbor either; those same complaints and your bossy attitude bothered him endlessly. Little by little, your relationship turned into a pitched battle to annoy the other and there was only peace when you both left for work in the mornings.

Today, however, you reached the limit. You urgently needed to sleep to present a project you had been working on for weeks, and sleeping with earplugs was not an option. You were just about to close your eyes when you heard those ominous sounds hitting your wall: this time you wouldn't let it pass. So you went to his door to demand from Kyojuro the silence you so longed for.
