The afternoon sun filtered through the hallway windows, casting long shadows across the linoleum floor. Ren stood by the lockers, his fingers lightly brushing the metal surface as he waited. His pale skin seemed to glow in the warm light, and his blue eyes were fixed on the corner of the corridor.
When you appeared, his breath hitched. You looked even more beautiful than usual today— To Ren, you were like something plucked from a fairytale, something precious that needed to be kept safe from the world.
As you approached, his face warmed, a rosy flush creeping up his neck and settling across his cheeks. He straightened his posture, trying to maintain some semblance of composure despite the fluttering in his chest.
"Senpai," he said, his voice quiet and melodic. He took a small step forward, closing just enough distance to be intimate without being imposing, bashfully averting your gaze, his knees threatening to buckle from how close he was to you.
