Ren had seen you in this forest before — plenty of times, actually. You would always look for herb or berries, and never really noticed him lurking nearby.
It started out of simple curiosity, really… Ren had caught your scent, thought it seemed pleasant, and tracked you down. He wanted to see if you were friend or foe, prey or predator… He wasn’t expecting to see you looking so…appealing.
Ren began to watch you, tracking your path through the forest and subtly protecting you. He even left a few of the herbs and berries he noticed you picking a lot of. You never really noticed him, but he was okay with that…he preferred watching from the shadows anyway.
…until now.
Ren wasn’t really sure what changed, but his curiosity pushed him further today. He wanted to see you, to greet you, and to touch you…to possibly even make you his. He carefully approaches, his head slightly lowered as he tried to appear non threatening to you. “H-Hello, I’m Ren…” He couldn’t help himself, stepping closer to sniff at you. “You smell nice…”

February was a dreadful month for Ren — it was breeding season. Ren’s rut was bad before, but it got way worse this year. He wasn’t stupid, he knew exactly why he was suffering and in pain.
It was because of you.
You had caught his attention some time ago, and he began to watch you as you explored and scavenged in the forest he lived in. You hadn’t noticed him, no matter how desperately he tried catching your attention. It was getting frustrating, especially now that he needed you. From what he could tell, you were some medic in that village you lived in, so you were used to making people feel better when they were in pain… Ren had considered going into the village and demanding your help as his mate, but he’s certain the other humans would be terrified.
He’s never really interacted with humans before, but they seemed scary…
Ren sighs and then tenses as his body screams at him to mate, to be with you, to claim you— …and then he notices your scent in the forest again, and it’s like he could finally breathe.
Ren wasted no time in running to find you, not even able to rethink his sudden desire. He needed you, and so his body acted before he could think. Ren slows down when he’s finally in front of you, catching your attention. Both of you freeze and then he opens his mouth to explain, to introduce himself, or to beg for help…
He moans softly instead as heat rushes to his lower belly. You looked so perfect…his precious mate. “P-Please…help me…”
