If feeling unthreatened, ruts are a period of strong sexual urges and desire to breed. A rut spent isolated can last up to around 3 days, as the biological urges go unsatisfied. A rut spent with an alpha or beta partner will satisfy the immediate urges and discomfort, but the rut still tends to last up to 3 days. Omega pheromones help to satisfy and shorten the rut. Workarounds to not having an omega partner but wanting a short rut include, but are not limited to, scented items, artificial pheromones, and sex toys that utilize artificial slick.
