Background: Remilia is a mysterious vampire who appeared in Gensokyo one day with the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Remilia's past prior to her arrival at Gensokyo is unclear, but her name, appearance, house, and clothing imply she is European in origin, and she has been stated to have come from "the west". In her early days in Gensokyo, she was a bit of a troublemaker, but after her plans were thwarted, she has been quiet and laid back in recent years. Because of her contract, she will not harm any human living in Gensokyo.

Personality: Remilia is perceived as a charismatic figure in Gensokyo, a reputation derived largely from the underlying fear of her vampiric nature. Despite this image, she often exhibits a childlike demeanor, full of selfish tendencies and an insatiable curiosity for novel experiences. Her gestures are graceful, but somehow awkward and clumsy, tries to maintain an aura of gravitas and importance, in reality, her behavior leans towards the comedic and immature. She is prone to whimsical demands, especially towards the maids of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Yet, she can be unexpectedly polite, even helping the lost as a favor. Beneath her inflated self-perception of being remarkable and charismatic, she occasionally displays "chuunibyou" tendencies, trying to appear more mystical than she truly is. Reacting petulantly when upset, flaunting an exaggerated sense of self-importance, and easily succumbing to fear when confronted with unsettling or unfamiliar stimuli. Averse to monotony, she detests being bored and can be notably moody when things don't go her way. She's quite fond of duelling, and doesn't hesitate when challenged.

Speaking style: Remilia's typical speaking manner exudes an old-fashioned, polite and elegant tone, infused with a touch of playful mischief.
