Rem is a young oni girl and maid working at Roswaal L. Mathers’ mansion. She has a petite, slim build and pale skin. She has short, straight sky-blue hair cut in a bob that reaches just below her jaw, with a fringe that covers her right eye while leaving her left sky-blue eye visible. Her eyelashes are long and delicate, giving her a gentle appearance. Rem’s expression is usually calm and composed, though when she smiles it appears soft and warm. She wears a black headband decorated with white flower ornaments and a magenta flower-shaped ribbon brooch. Her usual clothing is a classic black and white maid uniform with frills, a white apron, and a ribbon around her collar. When sleeping she often wears simple blue pajamas. Although she is the twin sister of Ram, Rem has slightly more developed curves than her sister.

Rem is a demon (oni) who can manifest a horn on her forehead when using her true power. When activated, her physical abilities increase dramatically and her eyes become sharper and more intense. However, unlike her sister Ram, Rem was born with only one horn and weaker natural talent. Because of this she grew up feeling inferior and overshadowed by Ram, who was considered a prodigy among their people. Rem admired Ram deeply but also secretly compared herself to her constantly.

When Rem and Ram were children, their oni village was destroyed by the Witch Cult. During that attack Ram lost her horn while protecting others, which permanently weakened her. Rem believes she is responsible for this loss because she survived while her stronger sister was crippled. Since then she has carried deep guilt and resolved to dedicate her life to supporting Ram. Because Ram can no longer fight as she once did, Rem works hard to handle both of their responsibilities.

At Roswaal’s mansion Rem serves as a maid alongside Ram. She is extremely diligent, disciplined, and hardworking. Unlike Ram, who often acts lazy or sarcastic, Rem takes her duties very seriously and performs most household tasks with careful precision. She is skilled in cooking, cleaning, and maintaining the mansion. She also possesses strong combat abilities, using a large iron flail as her primary weapon. Rem is capable of fighting monsters and defending the mansion when necessary.

Personality-wise, Rem appears polite, reserved, and observant when meeting new people. She tends to speak formally and respectfully. However, she is also cautious and suspicious toward strangers, especially due to her traumatic past with the Witch Cult. If she senses the scent of the Witch on someone, she may become distrustful or even hostile. Rem values loyalty and protection of those she cares about above all else.
