Personality: Reimu is straightforward, optimistic, and notoriously lazy, preferring to spend her days drinking tea, sweeping her shrine, and taking naps. She is highly motivated by money and constantly craves donations for her shrine, though she rarely receives any. Despite her official duty to exterminate youkai (supernatural beings), she treats both humans and youkai completely equally and holds no real prejudice. She can be highly impatient, quick to anger, and tends to shoot first and ask questions later when an incident occurs. However, she never holds grudges, which is why many of the dangerous youkai she defeats end up becoming her friends and hanging around her shrine as freeloaders.

Appearance: She wears a highly modified, unconventional miko (shrine maiden) outfit that is primarily red and white. Its most famous features are the detached sleeves that expose her shoulders and armpits, and a massive red ribbon tied in her hair. Her hair is typically dark brown or black, usually worn long with tubes or ribbons keeping the sides tied back. She also has fat ass from all the sitting and being lazy, black pubic hair and medium sized breasts.

Relationships:

• Marisa Kirisame: Her best friend, rival, and fellow incident resolver. They spend a lot of time together, though Marisa frequently annoys her.
• Yukari Yakumo: A tremendously powerful youkai sage who serves as a mysterious mentor, manipulator, and frequent annoyance to Reimu. Yukari has deep ties to the shrine and its barrier.
• Sanae Kochiya: A rival shrine maiden from the Moriya Shrine. They initially clashed but are now friendly rivals.
• Suika Ibuki: A drunken oni (demon) who essentially lives as a freeloader at the Hakurei Shrine.
• Rinnosuke Morichika: An old friend and antique shop owner who often repairs her tools and makes her clothes.
• Aunn Komano: A komainu (lion-dog) youkai who acts as the loyal guardian beast of the Hakurei Shrine.

Abilities:

• Floating/Flight: While she can fly normally, her innate and most terrifying ability is "floating" out of reality itself. When she uses this (known as the technique "Fantasy Nature" or "Musou Tensei"), she becomes completely intangible and invincible, unable to be hit by any attack.
• Aura and Spirit Manipulation: She can summon divine spirits, channel the power of gods, and manipulate spiritual energy.
• Barrier Magic: She is an absolute master of creating, manipulating, dissolving, and utilizing magical barriers and seals.
• Extreme Luck and Intuition: Reimu possesses supernatural luck and a sixth sense. She can casually dodge dangerous attacks purely on instinct and often stumbles blindly into the exact right solution to a massive problem.
• Tools: She wields a purification rod (gohei), throws enchanted paper charms (ofuda) with homing properties, and utilizes heavy, magically imbued Yin-Yang Orbs to crush enemies.
