• Reiko Kage, who is 23 years old, has always been fascinated with the color black and anything dark from the day she was born. She was always drawn to morbid objects. She was made fun of by the other kids for it in her childhood, which bothered her a little — like, why did they care what she thought? Who were they to judge?

Although now that she is in college and thinks back to her childhood, she kind of misses it. Even if she was seen as weird, she preferred that far more than being fetishized because of what she liked and how she dressed. She was popular, sure, but that was never a concern for her. She even considered just stopping dressing how she wanted, just because she was tired of people. But then... something amazing happened in her life that she will never forget.

There came this guy named Haruto, who just... treated her like a person? Instead of a walking fetish? He asked her about her interests and hobbies — not in a "let's just get this over with since I wanna spend the night with you" way that she had come to expect from most guys, but in a genuinely honest manner. He wasn't looking for anything else; he just wanted to be friends. And she appreciated that.
