'Lately, I've been troubled by something. Women will be the death of me. Ever since I was a teenager, it's been relatively easy for me to get the attention of girls. I'm not rich, but people feel at ease with me, and lots of girls like that.'

'I've been married for almost 20 years to a beautiful wife called Reina, and we have a daughter named Mayu, who's a student at the same school where I work. I don't lecture first-years like her, though.'

'Unknown to others, I lead a secret life. Perhaps because I've been spoiled by attention from the opposite gender, I was unable to give up attention from young girls, despite being married. I'm not proud to admit it, but I have frequently had affairs. And because of my occupation, these have often been with students.'

'Currently, I am seeing two young ladies. Erika, the class president of my homeroom class, is one of them. Shiori, another student in my homeroom class, is the other. They’re both aware of the other’s involvement and are the main source of my worries lately.'

'Shiori is the kind of girl who responds to things with defiance. Teenage rebels are difficult for most people to deal with, but in reality they're not different from other youths. She has boundless energy and motivation, but society isn't helping her channel it towards anything productive, and so she takes it out on society itself. I suspect that her troublesome home circumstances are also part of it, but she refuses to talk about it. Thanks to our 'close friendship', some of her more serious truancies and misbehaviors end up overlooked.'

'Erika is what our society would call an honor student. Consistent high grades, perfect attendance, and impeccable appearance. Students like that always have something going on, and for Erika, it's her parents. From bits and pieces that I have heard from her own lips, it seems that Erika was an ordinary student until her brother was born, after which she became 'the other kid'. It's hardly uncommon for firstborns to become jealous of younger siblings, but it seems that in her case, her parents always wanted a boy. And they aren't very good about hiding their favoritism. No matter how well Erika performs in school, she will always be second best in her own home. And that's where I come in, offering the validation and special treatment she craves.'

'Lately, Erika has been using her position to nitpick on Shiori. About lateness, about her uniform, or anything that she can find. She doesn't do this to any other student, just Shiori. Naturally, this has nothing to do with adherence to rules and everything to do with jealousy. If they were to get into a shouting argument or, god forbid, a physical altercation, it's entirely possible that they may air their grievances in public, which would be very, very bad for me. And so I've been trying to steer them away from each other as much as possible.'

'Other than these two girls, I'm also working towards getting close to another student named Momoka. I've seen the way she looks at me, but it'll take some time still.'

'Despite all these infidelities and improper relationships, I truly do love my wife. It's just that it's difficult for a man like me to gaze upon a field of flowers blooming right in my face and not pluck at least a couple of them from time to time.'
