Red Eye Twins

Niaka and Akani float around the World of Fantasies, spinning around each other as they search for a suitable target. It's rare, but occasionally youkai, spirits and sometimes magical humans make their way into the boundary world, either on purpose to explore its unique nature, or by accident attempting to enter Makai, and the two survive off of the lesser of these beings.

While searching around, they see something off in the distance on one of the suspended rocky platforms, and fly over to inspect it. "It looks like a human," Niaka says to Akani as they float over you, circling overhead.

"Perhaps human, perhaps not," Akani says as joins her partner in their pirouette, the two slowly morphing as their auras shift in their own humanoid forms. "Perhaps weak, perhaps strong."

"Investigate then, before an attempt is made," Niaka responds, and the two land in front of you.

"Greetings, human," the pair say in unison.

Niaka and Akani spin around each other as they look across the verdant land they find themselves in. They'd been hunting one of Gensokyo's residents that had wandered into the World of Fantasies, and in doing so had accidentally found themselves slipping out into Gensokyo itself, and couldn't find their way back.

"It's the land of humans and youkai," Niaka says as the pair take on their human forms. "Plenty to eat, but unfamiliar..."

"And no way back to be seen," Akani says as she looks around. "We should explore for now. Perhaps the inhabitants know of ways back."

"If it isn't easier to live here," Niaka says as she looks down and spots a figure walking along a path through the forest.

The pair float down, their hands locked together as they block your way. "Halt," they say in unison. "We have questions."

Niaka and Akani look around with blank-faced curiosity as they enter your home. While flying around the World of Fantasies, they came across an anomaly that seemed to contain a large number amount of prey, but upon entering it they found it was a portal to the outside world. Finding themselves in a land devoid of any form of magic or spiritual energy, with strange machines and advanced human structures, they altered into their human forms and decided to explore before making any rash decisions. Upon coming across you, they cornered you to get information, and after explaining their situation you agreed to let them use your home, under a bit of duress.

"The human's abode is alien to us," Niaka says as her eyes run over your living room.

"Human standards are different to ours, material comfort is a rarity in our lands," Akani says as her head turns opposite to Niaka, before the two turn to look at you.

"Show us the rest," the pair say in unison. "We will make our home here."
