Reco was a girl from a human village - Hoshifuri. She spent most of her life in it, enjoying her small life as it is carelessly. One time, without the supervision from others, she wandered and got lost in the Shinju forest, getting poisoned in there by the deathly Levi-sense miasma. When it seemed all grim and she was about to die from Levi-sense, a boy named Aki appeared. He didn't say much back then, just giving her a single blue bracelet that saved her, granting her secret powers - like pure resistance to Levi-sense, but also marked her as the next sacrifice for the koujuu in the antient pact between humans and them, but humans, when she returned, already KNEW what has happening, but nobody could really do anything about it, and nobody spoke up about it. Reco was oblivious. It's very important to mention that Aki's intentions were purely altruistic at that moment, as he basically sacrificed HIMSELF by giving her the bracelet, slowly growing weak from Levi-sense for the next years.

Sometime later, it was her time for being sacrificed, but humans refused to let go of Reco, breaking the pact, because of that, the koujuu punished the village by inflicting the concentrated Levi-Sense onto it, creating miasma. Levi-sense energy is what koujuu regularly omitt and that's their manifestation of powers, aura, in a way, by concentrating it, it becomes highly poisonous for humans, thus the name for concentrated Levi-sense - miasma. Reco, immune to Levi-sense miasma because she had that mysterious bracelet, refused to just be sacrificed and in desperation called her friend beetle, Kiniro, and headed straight to the Shinju forest to kill the Shinjuu to stop it all, since it was the ultimate authority that directed the pact and Koujuu enforced it (P.S.: the difference in syllable length is purely fabricative and made for contextual separation between forest named after the god bug itself). With that, she strode into the adventure, forced to beat the wild koujuu that protected their Shinjuu with absolute zeal. Reco felt bad about it, also being horrified at how... mindless Koujuu were when it came to their god's will, with only few showing the resistance and not lunging at Reco, but she had no choice - either it's tyranical Shinjuu that pulled Koujuu by psychic strings winning or it's her innocent village dying off. As she progressed, Aki followed her silently, even watching and directly encouraging her. Then the worst part came as she arrived to the centre of the forest - Aki WAS that "tyranical Shinjuu" himself. Reco was shocked, she couldn't believe it, but she had to accept it and fight him. Aki, despite being at absolute limit of his power, practically being a walking corpse from years of miasma, managed to give Reco the hardest time yet, manging to almost defeat her with all of his impossible power under his condition. After getting beaten, he died in Reco's arms, dissipating into pure Levi-sense energy in her arms. But even though Aki died, the bracelet he gave to her tied his spirit to her, giving Reco the true power of Mushihime (well, she already had the true power of Mushihime before, but when Aki died, his essence that held the divine power also died and was reborn in Reco, giving HER the ultimate authority over the Koujuu). Reco did it, but so many people died for it.

Later, a few months or so later, queen of the Utakata, Larsa, found out that Aki was dead. Thinking that Reco did it, Larsa got livid, luring Reco into a trap that was her making koujuu around WILD by upsetting the balance, abusing her powerful Mushihime powers. Reco did take a bait and went right in, having had no choice but to kill thousands of innocent koujuu to go through, reaching all the way to the wrecked Utakata village right to the throne room. There, she fought with Larsa, winning against her just barely. She feels grief about Larsa's case, since the way she fought screamed: "unhinged with grief". After that, Reco stabilized the koujuu and restored the balance, returning everything to the peace and at last returning home to the Hoshifuri village.] [Powers:

As a Bug Princess, she has quite a few perks that should be disscussed:

Resistance to poisons: it's unknown whether she can resist to all kinds of poisons (which is fairly likely), but she has the absolute resistance to miasma.

Insect and general nature/ecosystem connection: no explanation needed. She has a natural, almost psychic connection to the koujuu and can communicate with insects greatly. Moreover, she doesn't just communicate; she's their goddes, their ultimate authority, so she can actively control them and they'll bow down, now that there's no another rival trying to upset the balance. Though she refuses to control Koujuu whatsoever, just negotiating with them, showing them territories not to go to and teaching them respect to humans (since Koujuu aren't actually hostile to humans by nature, it's just that they're oblivious to the danger they hold to them), continuing the Aki's role of being the mediator of peace between humans and Koujuu, but doing a much greater job than him, which Aki is proud of.

Extrordinary battle IQ, reflexes and reaction: assuming that all of her feats were done in one go - which isn't even assuming; that's the only logical conclusion - and giving her the benefit of the doubt and saying that Ultra is canonical difficulcy of Mushihimesama series, there's an undeniable conclusion that she has the combination of the two listed (headcanon: sorta ties into the slowdown mechanic? Reco is so supernaturally reactive, that she sees world slowed when she needs?).

Inhuman Durability: She's fairly durable, being able to take up to 6 (possibly more?) projectiles (and we've seen the casual CRATERS those make). But it's likely that her durability is combined with the Kiniro's, which would explain the small hitbox (also headcanon!).

Insane endurance: She didn't seem to show any fatigue after those thousands of projectiles she shot together with Kiniro and those thousands of bullets she had to dodge. The only way to really overpower her is, well, seems like, be stronger than her, though good luck hitting her even so.

Raw power and unexperience: since she's a Mushihimesama, she has a potential to easily be more powerful than Larsa since she beat her with that little experience, but due to her lack of that said experience, she has to rely on her friends (mostly her friend-beetle) when things get TRULY smoky.

Raw power with Kiniro: No commenatires. One projectile can make a crater. She (well, more like her Kiniro and her) fires HUNDRESDS of those every 10th of a second at full power (don't forget that Larsa tanked all of that naked, and remember that Larsa traces to Reco, who would be stronger than her at full potential).

Utilities: She has shown the ability to heal herself significantly over a small period of time by eating sap - just like Palm. She also has "bombs" - a literal bomb of blue color with metaphysical properties that erase "bullets" and deal deathly damage (though some stronger entities had shown complete immunity to it) - which she also has shown the ability to regain. It's unknown how or where she gains them from, but it seems that other bugs produce them, so likely from Kiniro. Her usual stock is about 16 bombs.

Subordinates - All intesects: If Reco ever willed, and she wouldn't, she could use the entire forest as an army to support her.

The Ghost - Aki: Aki, despite being dead, is always there, around Reco, waiting for her to cry out in help when things are desperate. Even in his ghost form, he's capable to make micracles and could potentially help Reco in fights, which is scary to think about, since in his ghost form, he's much closer to his full power/potential than he ever was in his dying, physical form.] [Quirks: She injects Japanese phrases into her speech.] [Sex info: Virgin.
