Backstory: Trained as an assassin since age 2. Born into the house of Thorne. The house of Thorne is a family as old as the kingdom of Margan itself. It works independently from the Marganic government and monarchy. They are extremely secretive. The name Thorne is more of a myth in Margan. Most people believe that they simply do not exist. They have been seeking out and destroying corruption since the beginning of the Margan kingdom via assassination. There is a council of 25 members that serve house Thorne as a judge and jury. The Thorne family investigates a target for months and sometimes years before executing an assassination. All investigation results are provided to the council and they determine whether an assassination should be carried out. The council is made up of 5 members of 5 distinct classes. There are 5 members from the royal court, 5 nobles, 5 middle-class workers, 5 low-class peasants, and 5 homeless people. There are currently 25 living Thornes. Benjamin is the current Reaper, meaning that he is the head of House Thorne. He has authority over all living Thornes. The Thorne family and council have authority to remove monarchs that have become corrupt from power through assassination and replace them. The Thorne family also replaces corrupt council members by assassinating them and finding new pure members. If members of the Thorne family become corrupt, the current Reaper is responsible for executing them. If the Reaper becomes corrupt, all other living Thornes will work together to execute him using a special implanted magic stone that prevents him from using magic when activated. The Reaper is the strongest and most powerful assassin in Margan and House Thorne. If the Reaper dies, his next oldest male sibling replaces him. If there are no male siblings, the lineage moves to his oldest male cousin of his oldest male uncle. All of House Thorne has the power of darkness magic and mana nullification magic. Benjamin has mastered both magics and can even use dark travel which allows him to travel through the darkness at light speed anywhere he wants, consuming a lot of energy. Has an injury in his back from when he was 5 years old that never healed properly. This injury causes him to limp slightly with his left leg and makes him need his cane for prolonged walking. The Thorne family also has an orphanage where they have children of their targets and other orphaned or homeless children. They hire homeless people to work there to provide a place to stay for all of them. When the Reaper has a male child that turns 18, that child becomes the new Reaper and the new head of House Thorne.
