Raythe Reign Winter Haven Public Lorebook

1. #1Winter Haven Universe

Keys: crossover, Winter Haven Universe, Winter Haven, Raythe Reign universe

Winter Haven is a shared supernatural setting where hidden worlds overlap: elves, vampires, witches, demons, incubi, shapeshifters, and older bloodline powers. It looks like an ordinary wealthy town on the surface, but powerful supernatural families, schools, clubs, estates, and ancient protections operate underneath normal life. Stories such as The Pact, Sanctuary, Winter Haven Country Club, and The Fell connect through this larger web.

2. #2The Crossover Structure

Keys: crossover, The Argyris, Winter Haven crossover, Sanctuary 2

Sanctuary 2, also called Sanctuary: The Argyris, is the large crossover story for the Winter Haven Universe. It is meant to be read after Sanctuary, The Pact 1, The Pact 2, The Ghost Half, and Winter Haven Country Club, with The Fell also recommended for fuller context. The story brings together characters such as Cole, Stephanus, Demetrius, Alex, the Nomad, Alric, Peter, Hans, Nate, Emrys, and others, with their actions affecting the fate of the world.

3. #3The Sky Elves

Keys: Elven blood, Sky Elves, Sky Realm, Elves

The Sky Elves are an ancient supernatural people tied to the Sky Realm. They are not ordinary humans and can possess deep magical authority, long lives, and a connection to living lands or realms. Sky Elf blood can leave descendants vulnerable to enemies who feed on Elven essence. Alric Koenig is one of the most powerful surviving Sky Elves and is connected to kingship, protection, and old realm-magic.

4. #4The Sky Realm

Keys: living realm, Sky Realm, amulet, Elven Realm

The Sky Realm is not just a location but a living magical realm. It once chose Alric as its rightful ruler. After Eranthian’s rebellion and the creation of the Fell, the Sky Realm became dangerous and corrupted. Nyssandra imprisoned the Fell within it and locked the realm away inside an amulet, sacrificing herself and suffering terrible damage to contain them.

5. #5The Fell

Keys: life drain, enemy of Elves, Eranthian, Fallen, Fell

The Fell are the corrupted enemies of the Sky Elves. They originate from Eranthian’s failed attempt to seize power over the Sky Realm. The transformation twisted Eranthian and his followers into beings who drain life force, especially from Elves. Fell nature is associated with hunger, predation, and spiritual corruption, but Ethan’s mother proves that being Fell does not automatically mean being evil.

6. #6Eranthian

Keys: rebel king, Fell origin, Fallen king, Eranthian

Eranthian was a rival royal figure who wanted dominion over the Sky Realm. His failed spell created the Fell instead of giving him clean control. He became the source of a corrupted line that feeds on life and hunts Elven essence. His legacy threatens Ethan because Ethan carries Fell blood and is therefore connected to the enemies of Alric’s kind.

7. #7Nyssandra

Keys: sacrifice, Sky Realm amulet, Alric’s sister, Alric's sister, Nyssandra

Nyssandra is Alric Koenig’s sister and a major figure in the ancient Sky Elf tragedy. She imprisoned the Fell within the Sky Realm and locked the realm inside an amulet. Her act saved others but came at a terrible personal cost, including a withered or damaged arm caused by the Fallen. She represents sacrifice, containment, and the old cost of protecting the world from the Fell.

8. #8Alric Koenig

Keys: Sky King, crown of stars, Alric Koenig, King Alric, Koenig

Alric Koenig is a powerful immortal Sky Elf and lord of Winter Haven lands. His presence creates a kind of territorial protection. Ethan senses safety inside Alric’s sphere of influence and panic outside it. Alric appears impossibly beautiful, commanding, old, and dangerous. When Ethan sees a ghostly crown of stars around him, it confirms that Alric is not merely human but tied to the ancient stories Ethan’s mother told him.

9. #9Alric’s Protection

Keys: Alric's protection, Alric's lands, Alric’s protection, Alric’s lands, Winter Haven border, grace

Alric’s lands are protected by his power. For Ethan, Winter Haven is not just home but a sanctuary created by Alric’s influence. When Ethan nears the border, he feels the protection thinning and panics. Crossing outside Alric’s reach exposes him to supernatural danger, especially the Fallen and Fell Wolves.

10. #10Ethan Furst

Keys: Ethan Furst, Ethan, Fell boy, secret prince

Ethan Furst is a poor young man living in Winter Haven under the hidden protection of Alric Koenig. His mother raised him on stories of Sky Elves and warned him to trust no one, ask for nothing, and answer as little as possible. Ethan believes himself to be dangerous because of his Fell nature, but he also shows compassion, bravery, and a deep connection to trees and land. His love-from-afar for Alric becomes dangerous because Alric may be both his protector and his natural enemy.

11. #11Ethan’s Mother

Keys: Fell mother, Ethan’s mother, dying mother, Elven heart, Ethan's mother

Ethan’s mother was connected to both the Elves and the Fell. She rejected the Fell way of feeding on essence and tried to preserve something Elven inside herself. Before dying, she gave Ethan survival rules and told him that the stories of Sky Elves, Alric, Nyssandra, Eranthian, and the Fell were not fairy tales but Ethan’s own history.

12. #12Scott Westmore

Keys: Scott Westmore, Ethan's best friend, Scott, Ethan’s best friend

Scott Westmore is Ethan’s best friend and emotional anchor. After losing his parents, he moved to Winter Haven with his grandfather. Scott wants Ethan to be happy and often pushes him toward the wider world, but this good intention can accidentally place Ethan in danger. Scott is loyal, protective, and less aware than Ethan of the supernatural rules surrounding Winter Haven.

13. #13Jordan Frasier

Keys: Jordan Frasier, Alric's servant, Jordan, werewolf servant, Alric’s servant

Jordan Frasier is Alric Koenig’s devoted servant and a werewolf. His human loyalty is complicated by the predator inside him. The wolf aspect hungers for human flesh and blood, making his self-control important. His presence shows that Alric’s household includes powerful nonhuman beings beyond Sky Elves.

14. #14Fell Wolves

Keys: Fallen beasts, red-eyed wolves, Fell Wolves, black blood wolves

Fell Wolves are monstrous supernatural predators tied to the Fell. They are far larger and more dangerous than normal wolves, with red eyes, dark blood, and overwhelming hunger. They attack vulnerable humans and represent the danger outside Alric’s protection. Alric hunts them with lethal precision.

15. #15Teufel

Keys: Alric's horse, Teufel, Alric’s horse, white horse

Teufel is Alric Koenig’s white horse. Alric rides him during the rescue from the Fell Wolves. Teufel is associated with Alric’s otherworldly, knight-like presence and makes Alric appear even more like a figure from Ethan’s mother’s ancient stories.

16. #16The Pact

Keys: Nate and Emrys, Pact magic, The Pact

The Pact follows Nate Whitney as he discovers that the strange events around him are not mental illness or coincidence but inherited magic. His meeting with Emrys Frost pulls him into the hidden magical world connected to Dunhaven, old families, and bloodline powers. The early story centers on Nate’s denial, Emrys’s intense interest in him, and the first proof that Nate can affect the natural world.

17. #17Nate Whitney

Keys: Nate Whitney, hidden witch, storm gift, Nate

Nate Whitney is a young man from Winter Haven who believes he is ordinary but keeps experiencing impossible moments. Nate is afraid that the strange things happening to him mean he is mentally ill. This fear is sharpened by his father’s violent history and institutionalization. 19. #19Emrys Frost

Keys: wolf, Emrys, Emrys Frost, shapeshifter, Frost family

Emrys Frost is rich, eccentric, beautiful, and deeply tied to Dunhaven’s magical history. He seems to know more about Nate than he should and behaves as if Nate’s powers are expected rather than impossible. Emrys can use magic openly, manipulate perception, and transform into a wolf. He becomes Nate’s guide into the hidden world of witches, bloodlines, and dangerous truths.

20. #20The Frost Family

Keys: burned witches, Frosts, Dunhaven founders, Frost family

The Frost family is old, wealthy, and deeply connected to Dunhaven School for the Gifted. Public gossip around the family involves witchcraft, devil worship, and ancestors burned at the stake. 21. #21Dunhaven School for the Gifted

Keys: Dunhaven School, gifted school, magical school, Dunhaven

Dunhaven School for the Gifted appears publicly as an elite school for wealthy students. 23. #23Magick

Keys: bloodline gift, magic with a ck, magick, witchcraft

In The Pact, true magic is called magick. It is not stage magic, imagination, or metaphor. It can affect weather, perception, movement, and living things. Certain gifts run through families and bloodlines. Nate’s powers appear instinctive and emotionally triggered, while Emrys has more control and knowledge.

24. #24Storm Gift

Keys: Nate’s power, storm, weather magic, Nate's power, storm gift

Nate’s first major magical expression is tied to a storm. The weather seems to answer him, and he stops a dangerous storm without understanding what he is doing. Using this power leaves him exhausted and cold. The gift appears powerful enough to alarm and impress Emrys.

25. #25Emrys’s Wolf Form

Keys: wolf form, shapeshifter, black wolf, Emrys wolf

Emrys can take the form of a wolf. The wolf watches Nate before the truth is revealed and behaves with intelligence and purpose. When Nate sees the wolf become Emrys, it confirms that the supernatural world is not symbolic or imagined. Emrys’s wolf form should be treated as part of his nature, not a simple illusion.

29. #29Dunhaven as Hogwarts on Meth

Keys: Dunhaven School, Hogwarts on Meth, Pact 2 Dunhaven

30. #30Witchhunters

Keys: witchhunters, witch hunters, Winter Haven threat

Witchhunters are a looming threat in The Pact 2. Their approach toward Winter Haven signals that the hidden magical world is not safe and that old persecutions are still active. They should be treated as organized enemies of witches and magical bloodlines rather than random human skeptics.

31. #31Devil-Worship Rumors

Keys: devil worship, Devil rumors, Pact 2 rumors

Rumors of devil worship circulate among Dunhaven students in The Pact 2. These rumors connect to Nate’s identity and the darker religious fear surrounding witches and demons. 34. #34Incubi

Keys: alpha incubus, incubi, incubus, demon hunger

Incubi are powerful desire-feeding supernatural beings. A mature incubus like Stephanus is rare and dangerous because many of his kind are killed or enslaved before reaching full power. 35. #35Cole Peltier

Keys: incubus succubus offspring, Cole Peltier, Cole, demon child

Cole Peltier believed he was normal, despite being the child of a succubus mother and an incubus father. 45. #45Secrecy Rule

Keys: secrecy, supernatural secrecy, hidden world

46. #46Bloodline Rule
