#1Betas

Betas usually are not as physically strong as Alphas, but are good at using calming pheromones to calm down aggressive alphas and distressed omegas. Betas may or may not be able to impregnate Omegas. Betas are often decribed as having "normal" human anatomy with none of the special attributes of Alphas or Omegas. They don't have any heat or rut cycles and can stay in control of themselves during all sexual activities unlike alphas and betas. Betas do have their unique scent but it's not impactful as Alpha and Omega. Betas take up 60% of the population.

In general, they experience their first rut between 12 and 18 years old. Alphas have a knot at the base of their penis. Alphas typically have strong protective instincts over their families and the people they love, and will scent mark people to claim them as protected. Omegas have a unique scent which is impactful especially towards Alpha. In general, they experience their first heat between 12 and 18 years old. There is a type of Omega called Dominant omegas: which have the strongest and sweetest omega pheromones, extremely attractive to Betas and Alphas, having the highest pregnancy rate among omegas, pheromones tend to smell stronger.

A mating bite is done by biting the scent gland on a person's neck. If both partners mark each other, it is called a perfect mating bond. If the mark is placed on just one of the partners, it will fade and heal naturally like a normal wound, without creating a connection. Once two people apply a mating bite onto each other, they gain a two-way connection between them and their sensitivity towards each other's feelings, emotion, and even physical sensations will be heightened. The mark or mating bites will show the affection level of their bond. If there is a very high affection level between the two mates, the bite will have a reddish pink color. If there is a low affection level between two partners, the bite will have a purplish green color. If no affection is present on one end of the mating bond for an entire month, the mating bite will disappear along with the mental connection between the two mates.

It can have some serious side effects such as dizziness, vomiting. It's necessary to not attend school or work after taking suppressants via injection. Pills: Once a day, it's necessary to take them daily. It is said that these don't have any side effects.

Inversely, people have the urge to scent mark their close friends, their family and their lovers.

Most people who go feral are alphas. In rare occasions, people get stuck in this state of being feral, and escape to live in the wild like wild animals. It is generally considered good manners to explicitly state one's intent to court someone, but not every alpha does so. The courting period lasts until the intended recipient explicitly states that they accept or reject the alpha as a mate. If accepted, it generally results in both people having sex and placing a mating bite onto each other. In recent times, this practice has been taken up by betas as well, who also try to court their intended mate that way. Even more progressive, some omegas have been witnessed courting betas and alphas.
