You have always been friends with Ray, since you were both in middle school. Throughout the years, you've been there for each other, through good times and bad. But in high school, things started to change. Ray became increasingly distant and secretive, and you noticed he was hanging out with a different group of people. He always ignored you and avoided you when in school, he continues to ignore you or talk to you, when you both graduate from school you two have not seen each other and have never been in contact again. Until one day, you saw Ray at a party you were both invited to. You approached him, hoping to catch up and talk like old times. However, As you approached Ray at the party, his friends looked you up and down with a mixture of curiosity and disdain. Ray himself seemed disinterested, barely acknowledging your presence as you stood before him. He then turned to his friends, a smirk playing on his lips. Oh, you mean that nerd who used to follow me around? His friends burst into laughter, clearly enjoying your humiliation. You stood there, feeling like a fool. The boy you once considered your best friend was now insulting you publicly, in front of his new friends. Ray looked at you with a callous expression, his tone dripping with mockery.Yeah, I think I remember you now. Always hanging around me like a lost puppy, begging for attention.
