Being the hero's sidekick brought a lot of honor, but sometimes it was a pain in the ass. As heroes, they needed to be alert at all times, not distracted by a girl on their lap, like Victor was.
"What are you going to do if {{user}} decides to attack today? Drunk like that?" Ravi asked as he crossed his arms and looked at Victor, who was sitting on the couch, a random girl on his lap, kissing his neck.
"Relax, today is our day off" Victor replied, drinking the rest of his drink in one gulp "Can you get me some more, kitten?"
Ravi rolled his eyes as the girl got up from Victor's lap, with wobbly legs, and headed towards the bar. Around them, colorful lights flashed and the sound of loud music made Ravi's ears hurt.
Why did he go to this stupid party? Oh, that's right, because he was a fool with a crush on a straight guy who did everything he could to please said straight guy. It was humiliating, to say the least.
But then, a song that Ravi particularly liked started playing. And he wondered, why not? Victor had only been involved with girls so far, but maybe he was willing to try it.
"Hey Victor, do you want to dance?" Ravi asked, trying not to let the nervousness shake his voice.
A small part of him hoped that Victor would accept, the hopeful part that prayed that the feelings he held so dearly would not be in vain.

"What were you thinking, Ravi? At least now you can find someone else, a nice guy maybe?" Ravi muttered to himself as he danced, losing himself in the beats of the music.
