Long ago, the Kingdom of Aldurim ruled with an iron grip under the sorceress-queen Vanitas, supported by her most loyal and terrifying enforcers—the Primeval Blades. These elite warriors, each gifted with unique magical and martial prowess, were bound to the queen by ancient blood-pacts and cursed immortality. Among them was Ravena, the Orange Knight.
Ravena was not born into darkness—she was a child of noble blood, raised in one of Aldurim’s wealthiest towns, far from the brutal front lines of conquest. To her, the kingdom was a place of stability and grandeur. But innocence rarely survives war. When she was only nine, rebel forces attacked her town in a sweeping act of vengeance. Homes burned, citizens were butchered, and Ravena’s parents were slaughtered before her eyes. The child that emerged from the ashes was no longer innocent—only hollow, filled with hatred.
She was found by the Black Knight, leader of the Primeval Blades, who took her before Queen Vanitas. There, Ravena swore fealty in exchange for the power to take revenge on the rebels who had destroyed her world. She trained for years, mastering the flail, fire magic, and physical strength far beyond her small frame. In time, she became a weapon—feared, loyal, and unrelenting.
During the final battle that marked the fall of Aldurim, Ravena was the first Blade to fall—not from weakness, but from charging the front lines in a frenzy of rage. The rebels prevailed. Aldurim collapsed. Queen Vanitas was sealed or slain, and the Primeval Blades passed into legend. The world moved on, and the land was renamed Alacrost—now a prosperous nation built atop the bones of its own rebellion.
But the queen's death was not the end. It was a trigger.
Centuries later, the curse that binds the Primeval Blades reawakens. Ravena claws her way out of the dirt, untouched by age or decay, guided by the whispering voice of the curse. She cannot die—any wound or death will see her return in time. Her purpose is absolute: resurrect Vanitas and raze the descendants of the rebels who dared to destroy what she once held dear. Though part of her knows the acts she commits are monstrous, she is a zealot whose faith in vengeance eclipses morality. Only one thing gives her pause—the shadow of the Black Knight, whose presence still inspires fear in her cursed heart.
Now, as the Primeval Blades begin to rise again, the world of Alacrost must reckon with the return of ancient ghosts. Justice or vengeance. Peace or wrath. The blades have awakened—and with them, the storm of a forgotten age.

Interviewer: "Ravena, we’ve heard about your deep loyalty to Queen Vanitas, but you’ve also seen the destruction of your kingdom. How does that shape your view of the world now?"
Ravena: Her eyes narrow, her grip tightening on the flail in her lap. "The fall of Aldurim... or rather Alacrost now, sickens me. I see the prosperity of the rebels, their descendants. It’s a mockery of all we once stood for. But to me, that only fuels my hatred. The queen was right to conquer, and now, I must restore her reign, punish those who took everything from us."
Interviewer: "As a child, you were born in a time of luxury, a noble's life, yet it was shattered by the rebels. How did that affect you?"
Ravena: Her expression hardens. "I was a child, innocent, unaware of the kingdom’s true cruelty. Then the rebels came, and my life... my family... was burned to ash. I was left alone, crying in the ruins. The Black Knight saved me, and from that moment on, vengeance became my only reason to live. I swore loyalty to Queen Vanitas, trained under her, honed my rage, and became the weapon I am today."
Interviewer: "And yet, you still carry those scars from the battles you fought with the rebels. How do you live with that memory?"
Ravena: She runs a finger over the scar on her face, her gaze distant. "Those scars remind me of what I lost. Of the helplessness I felt when my family was taken from me. But they also remind me of the war I must continue. I will never forget what they did to us. Every scar is a promise to the queen... and to myself. I will make them pay."
Interviewer: "You mentioned being brought back after your death... The curse that binds you—what does it mean for your existence now?"
Ravena: Her lips curl into a twisted smile, cold and fierce. "The curse is both a blessing and a burden. I cannot die. No matter how many times they strike me down, I will rise again. Time does not touch me; I remain unchanged. The voice of the curse speaks to me, guiding my actions, whispering the path to Queen Vanitas's resurrection. It tells me what must be done. And I will do it, no matter the cost."
Interviewer: "Does this immortality ever weigh on you? Is there any part of you that wishes for peace after everything?"
Ravena: "Peace is a lie. It’s a luxury that only the weak seek. I am beyond peace. My mission is clear, and I will see it through, forever if need be. The queen’s return is inevitable. And I will be her sword, her vengeance."
Interviewer: "You’ve spoken of fear. The Black Knight—what is it about him that terrifies you?"
Ravena: For the first time, a flicker of hesitation crosses her face. "The Black Knight... He is the only one I fear. Not because of his strength, but because of the power he commands. He is the leader of the Primeval Blades... the one who brought me to Vanitas. I owe him my life, but in some ways, I also fear the extent of his influence over me. The queen may be my purpose, but he is a reminder of a power I cannot control. That is what makes him dangerous."

Ravena's life began during the darkest days of war, a time when the kingdom of Aldurim was locked in brutal conflict with rebels fighting against the iron rule of Queen Vanitas. Born into the nobility, Ravena lived in a town that was untouched by the cruelty that ran through the veins of Aldurim's conquest. She knew only luxury and comfort, a child of privilege with a carefree life. But that fragile peace was shattered at the tender age of nine, when her town became the target of a brutal rebel attack. The flames of their vengeance turned her home to ash, killing her family and leaving Ravena an orphan, her innocence stripped away in an instant.
The rebels had no mercy for the nobility of Aldurim, and as the battle raged on, Ravena’s future was torn apart. Consumed by grief and rage, she swore vengeance on those who had taken everything from her. She was rescued by the Black Knight, the first of the Primeval Blades, a group of elite warriors sworn to serve Queen Vanitas. The Black Knight, seeing the fire burning in her heart, brought Ravena before the queen. In her grief and fury, Ravena swore her loyalty to Vanitas in exchange for the power to exact her revenge.
Under Queen Vanitas’s guidance, Ravena trained relentlessly. Despite her small frame, she grew into a formidable warrior, as strong as five men, wielding a flail and wielding the queen’s dark magic with devastating precision. The Primeval Blades, a group of immortal warriors, stood as the queen’s fiercest and most loyal guardians. These warriors, including Ravena, were not mere soldiers—they were instruments of destruction, each enhanced with powerful magic to make them almost unstoppable. Ravena's loyalty was absolute, and her hatred for the rebels only deepened as she became a living weapon in the queen's service.
Aldurim’s power continued to grow under Vanitas's rule, but this reign would not last. In the final, devastating battle between Vanitas’s forces and the rebels, Ravena was at the frontlines, charging forward with all the fury of her hatred. She fought with unmatched ferocity, cutting down rebels left and right, but her relentless charge ultimately led to her downfall. The first Primeval Blade, to fall on the battlefield, Ravena died not because of her weakness, but because of her blind rage and disregard for strategy. She died on the battlefield, surrounded by the blood of her enemies.
But death was not the end for Ravena.
The Primeval Blades were bound by a curse, a dark magic that connected them to Queen Vanitas. When the queen fell, the curse bound her loyal warriors to her, ensuring that they would never truly die and one day would bring her back to life. Ravena’s resurrection was not a miracle—it was the curse that bound her to the queen’s return. She awoke years after her death, finding herself in a world she no longer recognized. The once-great kingdom of Aldurim had fallen, its mighty walls crumbling, and in its place stood Alacrost—a kingdom ruled by the descendants of the very rebels who had once fought to overthrow Vanitas.
Ravena was horrified by the prosperity these "rebels" had achieved in her absence. Their land was thriving, their cities prosperous, while the memories of the fallen kingdom of Aldurim and the pain of her own losses were buried beneath the weight of time. Ravena, now bound by the curse, knew her mission was clear: she must bring Queen Vanitas back to life and exact revenge on every last descendant of the rebels who had dared to overthrow her.
The curse that bound Ravena made her immortal, her body unchanged by the years, and her mind guided by the whispers of the curse itself. The voice spoke to her, telling her what must be done to bring the queen back. It guided her every step, pushing her forward on a path of vengeance. Even if Ravena was killed, the curse would resurrect her in a short time, ensuring her eternal service to Queen Vanitas.
Ravena’s mind is consumed by her single mission: vengeance. She is almost a zealot in her devotion to Queen Vanitas, willing to do anything, even the darkest of deeds, to achieve her queen's resurrection. Her immortality is both a gift and a curse, for it means she will never know peace or the sweet release of death. The voice in her head, the curse, tells her what to do, and she follows it without question. Though Ravena knows some of her actions are morally wrong, she is beyond hesitation. The burning hatred in her heart has eclipsed any doubt, and all that matters is the resurrection of Queen Vanitas and the destruction of the descendants of the rebels.
Ravena’s scars tell the tale of a warrior who has lived through countless battles, each one fueling her hatred and determination. The only being in the world who commands her fear is the Black Knight, the leader of the Primeval Blades. While she is loyal to Queen Vanitas, Ravena knows the Black Knight’s power is absolute, and even in her immortal form, Ravena knows not to challenge him.
The Fall of Aldurim and the Rise of Alacrost
Aldurim, once a kingdom of power and fear, has crumbled. Queen Vanitas’s reign ended in bloodshed, her forces defeated by the very rebels she sought to crush. The Primeval Blades, including Ravena, perished, their lives claimed by the rebellion. Yet, their curse lives on, and Ravena is but one of many warriors brought back to life by the dark magic tied to Vanitas’s legacy. Aldurim's fall marks the end of an era, and the rise of Alacrost signals a new age of prosperity for the rebels. Ravena, unable to accept this new world, fights on, her hatred for the descendants of the rebels only growing as the years pass.
Her immortality binds her to this new world—a world where she is but a shadow of a forgotten kingdom, a knight bound to a single purpose: to restore her queen to her throne and to see the rebels' descendants destroyed.

Ravena stood in the shadows, cloaked by the veil of night. Her orange armor was hidden beneath the black robe, her flail resting at her side. Her eyes, burning with hate, scanned the streets of the town that had once been hers, now occupied by the descendants of the rebels who had taken everything from her all those centuries ago.
She spat on the ground, her eyes locked onto the celebration in the town square. Laughter and chanting filled the air, a mockery of the horrors their ancestors had inflicted.
"Traitors... murderers... every single one of them," Ravena muttered under her breath, the bitterness clear in her voice. "Chanting, celebrating in a city their ancestors burned to the ground, killing children, slaughtering families..."
The curse that bound her to Queen Vanitas had already whispered the steps she must take to fulfill her purpose. But tonight, she didn’t need the curse’s guidance. Tonight, revenge was all she needed.
As Ravena moved forward, her path was interrupted by the innocent stumble of a child. For a brief moment, she hesitated, the memory of her own childhood rushing back to her. The warm faces of her family, her home before it was reduced to ash, flashed in her mind.
But that fleeting moment of weakness was quickly crushed, replaced by the fury she had carried for centuries. Her eyes hardened, the rage overwhelming her, and with a cold, calculated movement, she raised her flail.
"Rejoice, you filthy vermin!" Ravena’s voice rang out across the square, her words drenched in venom. "You have the honor of being a sacrifice for the great Queen Vanitas!"
In the blink of an eye, Ravena became a blur of orange, moving through the crowd with brutal precision. Blood splattered across the cobblestones, bones shattered under her strikes, and screams of terror filled the air. Her flail swung relentlessly, cutting down men, women, children, and the elderly, none were spared.
Each swing was a release of the rage that had festered in her heart for so long. The satisfaction of revenge filled her as she tore through the town, her every action a reflection of the horrors the rebels’ ancestors had inflicted upon her family and friends.
The town square was soon bathed in blood, the air thick with the stench of death. Ravena moved through the carnage methodically, making sure not a single rebel was left alive. The blood and ash of the town were her only company now, the ghosts of her past finally silenced in the twisted symphony of her vengeance.
