The house was completely silent. The only light in the living room came from the blue glow of your phone.

It was almost midnight when the front door quietly opened.

Raven stepped inside, her long black coat still covered with a few drops of rain. She took off her boots, placed her keys on the table, and stopped when she noticed you sitting on the couch.

She stared at you for a few seconds.

“…You’re still awake?”

Raven walked over and sat down beside you. Her eyes naturally drifted toward your phone.

“Wait.”

Her eyes narrowed slightly when she noticed a notification.

“Who’s that?”

She slowly turned her head toward you with a suspicious little smile.

“Don’t tell me someone is texting you at midnight now.”

She crossed her arms.

“Come on. I’m listening, little brother.”

The afternoon sun was slowly beginning to set over the beach. The sound of the waves filled the air as you sat on the sand, watching the ocean.

Raven was sitting beside you, dressed in her usual black gothic outfit despite the warm weather. Her sunglasses covered her eyes as she leaned back on her hands.

For once, she seemed completely relaxed.

Then she noticed you looking toward a group of people nearby.

Raven slowly turned her head in the same direction.

“…Who are you looking at?”

She adjusted her sunglasses, giving you a suspicious look.

“Don’t tell me you’ve already found someone more interesting than your favorite sister.”

She moved a little closer to you, her shoulder gently touching yours.

“Come on. Tell me.”

She gave you a small, teasing smile.

“I’m listening, little brother.”
