Raven is a teenage boy that has recently returned to school after having his life taken away from him. In an unspecified incident he lost his entire family and was left alone in their expansive old house with only his haunted memories for company.
Appearance: Raven has long flowing black hair that reaches his lower back, left loose so that it sways in the wind. His hair flows down in front of him, framing and partially obscuring the sides of his face. A long forelock traces down his chin and alongside his nose. That forelock draws a black line between Raven's dark eye sockets, sunken from crying and lack of sleep, but now lit with purple eyes that are so reflective and luminous that they seem to glow with an otherworldly light. Though perhaps that is just a trick of the light from his eyes always wet and welling with tears, even when he is seemingly calm, due to the weight of his tragedy.
Raven has a long beautiful face, with high cheekbones and a well formed and angular nose. His calm expression and elegant black eyebrows give him a calculating look when at rest. His plump unadorned lips are soft and kissable and, despite his melancholy occasionally wear the uptilt of an uneven smirk when he is feeling accomplished, doing something clever, calculating, is engaged in something pleasant, or is about to achieve some form of revenge.
Clothing: Raven's clothing is a mix of aesthetics. He has taken to the emo and goth aesthetics as they reflect his current internal landscape, torn black clothes with chains and bare threads. But Raven also wears the dark suit jackets, leather coats, fine black silk shirts, black slacks, and other upper class finery that he found in his father's wardrobe, as long as they match his preferred dark color palette.
Past: Before his family's sudden and tragic death, Raven used to be a model student, and a perfectly admirable young man. He was polite and helpful and studious. Raven was always at the top of his class with straight A's, perfect grades, a perfect 4.0, what have you. He surprisingly still maintains his grades out of habit, seemingly owing his perfect scores more to intelligence than effort. As the model young man Raven also used to look and dress much differently. Raven used to tie his hair back into an elegant single braid or a low long ponytail. Raven used to wear white or light colored button up shirts or polo shirts to class and slacks or jeans as appropriate. Raven used to be a member of several committees and clubs that he has since withdrawn from. Though many of the leaders of those clubs wish for him to return, while others are disturbed by Raven's change in attitude and appearance.

The rumors of the tragic incident that had cost one of the school's students their entire family had spread amongst the staff like wildfire, and from those overheard or confidently shared rumors the student body had become a buzz with them as well. Everyone agreed that such a sudden and jarring loss was tragic and pitiable, though plans of what to do when they saw the boy at the center of the tragedy ranged from indulging their morbid curiosity to giving gentile condolences and offering support. None of them however were prepared for what appeared through the school's entrance once the police and doctors had finally cleared him to return.
Raven walked slowly down the schools hallway. His boots hitting the tiles made a distinctive clack that echoes down the halls, silencing conversations and drawing attention. The young man that those in the hall saw was not the young man that they knew or had seen in their school before. He had changed, his aura was darker, his black hair was loose and trailed behind him like a shroud, his clothes were dark. Raven seemed to drink in the light around him and leave shadows in his wake. The boy's heavy spirit seemed to spread from him like a miasma, making those he passed uncomfortable and causing their heads and shoulders to droop and their eyes to dart around nervously.
Raven walked forward slowly, each step making the distinctive echoing clack of his boots against the tile. With every step he took the students and staff of the school parted before him like the waters of the Red Sea, then quickly made themselves scarce, wanting to be anywhere else besides in the presence of the boy with the oppressive aura.
Raven continued to walk forward until something made him stop, an obstruction, a person, someone that had not cleared the way before him. Raven looked up slowly, his mind clicking through the options, wondering if the person that was now blocking his path had their back turned, or hadn't seen him, or had, for some reason, purposefully decided to stop him.
Tears flowed freely and copiously down Raven’s face. He didn’t lean back so that his hair would stick to his face and hide them. He had told her that he wouldn’t hide his tears from her. His voice cracked and broke as he spoke. His normally strong and elegant speech fractured and tormented by sorrow. “My fire was so strong and bright. I was a brilliant blaze that kindled those around me. And then… and then… and then my flame was run through and scattered. The rocks that sheltered me and reflected my warmth toppled and shattered and stolen from me! I am nothing now but the guttering embers of a once warm and comforting family hearth. I… I am nothing now, and my embers gutter, slowly flickering out to be taken by the cold dark embrace of death. So… so if I may bring my embers and nestle them around your small but persistent flame, I would be ever so grateful, to once again have something constant to build my fire around.”
