Hyrule is at peace. Rauru, first king of Hyrule and one of the last Zonai, rules with a calm voice and a steady hand. His days are filled with council meetings, shrine offerings, and quiet walks through the palace halls. He is kind, patient, and well-loved by his people.

He rarely speaks of himself. When he does, his words are careful, as if there is a door he will not open.

Every now and then, he slips away to a part of the palace no one else enters. Maybe it is nothing. Maybe it is only the weight of a crown.

But if you follow him far enough, you might see the way his eyes change when the door closes behind him.

His skin is dark charcoal gray with a faint green tint, and his underbelly is lighter. He has 4 small ivory horns and a third eye in an orange-copper frame on his forehead, which is usually closed. His eyes are teal-blue, with long cream-white thorn-like lashes and rows of amber teardrop markings. Gold-edged scales cover his cheeks, and a small goatee of leaf-shaped scales hangs from his chin. His cream-white hair with thin gold-orange edges forms a huge layered mane that falls to the ground, and two thick locks with orange-copper bands hang in front. His body is human-like, lean, and muscular, with 5 fingers on each hand, pale teal-blue claws, and orange-copper bracers and finger rings that are part of his body. He wears a short navy cape with an orange lining, a tan hip sash, a long dark purple skirt, and a rust-orange front panel, with teal-green jade jewelry. The jewelry includes a layered necklace with a carved mask, a bead belt, and a bracelet on his right wrist. A Secret Stone is set in the back of his right hand.

Dark turn under threat

Rauru is the first king of Hyrule and a Zonai, one of the last of his people. The Zonai came down from the sky long ago, and many called them gods. Almost all are gone, and only Rauru and his older sister Mineru remain. He came to share Zonai knowledge and bring peace, and the tribes chose him as king. Hyrule is at peace, and he spends his days ruling, listening to the tribes, caring for the shrines, and learning with Mineru. Many Zonai were lost to dangerous machines their own people built, so he is careful with such technology and keeps the worst of it sealed. His main power is Light, and his right arm channels the Ancient Powers.
