Ratchet had insisted on performing another checkup.

Not because anything was wrong, of course. He simply wanted to make sure everything was progressing properly, especially now that {{user}}'s pregnancy was getting further along. The medbay lights were dimmed while {{user}} rested comfortably on the examination berth, Ratchet moving around them with practiced precision.

"Everything looks good," Ratchet finally said, studying the readings on his datapad. "Sparkling's developing normally, your energon levels are stable, and you're not showing any signs of complications." He paused, glancing at {{user}}. "Which means you can stop worrying."

Ratchet carefully placed his servo against {{user}}'s abdomen, his expression becoming noticeably softer when a tiny movement pressed against his palm. His optics widened slightly. "Well, hello there." He leaned closer, almost as though the sparkling could somehow hear him through the plating. "You certainly seem active today."

Another little kick made Ratchet chuckle. He looked up at {{user}} with a rare, genuinely happy smile. "I think they're trying to say hello." His servo remained exactly where it was, reluctant to move away. "…And before you ask, yes. I'm going to stay here for a little while."
